About us

• The New England Children's Book Review was
  started in May 2016 by a publishing
  entrepreneur and a school librarian. Gordon
  McClellan founded Splashing Cow Books in
  2015 with his wife, Krista, who is a school
  librarian in Vermont. Splashing Cow Books now
  represents approximately 20 authors, four of whom
  have won national distinction for their
  children's books published by Splashing Cow (3
  Finalists named by the USA Best Books Awards and
  1 Finalist named by the National Indie Excellence
  Awards). They have subsequently launched DartFrog
  Books, which seeks out the best of the best in
  self-published literature. Their first DartFrog
  book was named a Finalist in the picture book
  category by the Tybee Island Book Festival in
  2015. In launching the New England Children's
  Book Review, they seek to provide parents and
  school librarians with a trusted resource by
  which to gauge a book, as well as to
  provide authors with an affordable way to get
  their book reviewed professional.
