Birds photography can be a tricky affair. The
good news is that there are some tips that you
can use to ensure that you get the best shot. Let
us look at the top 5 tips.
  • Identify isolate your subject
  • Have an original image
  • Consider behavior
  • Allow the birds to come
  • Get there early and remain until late
  • Choose background

3
Identify isolate your subject
  • Birds are commonly found in settings that can be
cluttered. There may be grasses and branches that
intersect at different angles distracting your
main subject. There may also be other birds that
can distract your eye. However, one thing that
you will need to bear in mind is that the
habitats elements, as well as the whole
landscape, can be part of the artistry or message
of the entire image and it may be necessary to
include these to some extent. The most important
thing is to ensure that you include what is key
to a compelling or beautiful image.

4
Have an original image
  • There are many people who take some inspiring
images. A good idea would be to replicate these
images. However, this can end up wasting a lot of
your time and isnt productive in most cases
since the images power is partly due to the
originality. A good idea would be to aim from
    different angles.

5
Consider behavior
  • Birds will scamper, fly, fight, swim and even
dive. At times, they will do it constantly and at
times they will do it at the same time. Ensure
that you have an idea of how you want your best
image to look, watching the birds behavior and
having an idea of what the bird is likely to do.
This can help you to maximize on the potential
    quality of the image.

6
Allow the birds to come
  • At times, you can get tempted to chase the birds
as many of them are usually timid, moving away
from us. This will result in images of birds that
turn or even runway or even at the worst have
their backs towards the camera. When you study
the habitat and camera early enough, it is easy
to figure out where the bird is likely to walk,
land or even fly. This way, you can set yourself
there to ensure that you have an image that is
    more intimate and compelling.

7
Get there early and remain until late
  • A good idea would be to go out early and ensure
that you remain there early until the fading of
the light. This will ensure that you have photos
that are much better. The color usually looks the
best during the magical light of sunlight or even
before sunset. The shadows are usually further
form the subjects and the birds are usually more
    active.

8
Choose background
  • A common mistake that many photographers face is
to take photos from a position that is quite
comfortable, when standing and our backs facing
the sun. This makes it difficult for us to get
the best shot. However, when you change the angle
that you shoot from, it is possible to change the
    background in a dramatic way.
