Inactivity by Delhi Govt during chikungunya and
dengue reflects its growing distance from people?

Apparently Delhi is losing battle with
chikungunya and dengue, both of which have
assumed epidemic proportions. Last year, Delhi CM
Arvind Kejriwal who is campaigning in Punjab, had
made surprise visits to several hospitals after
dengue outbreak besides promising to increase
number of beds in hospitals. The enthusiasm to
reach out is not visible this time. Its
inactivity in the times of chikungunya and dengue
only shows its growing distance from people. The
question is, shouldn't crises like this be the
perfect occasion for Govt to stand behind
