How does onsite training work?
2
  • The dynamics of onsite trainings is simple to
understand if one understands the concept of
onsite trainings. Onsite trainings are a form or
mode of professional trainings in which the
organization that needs these trainings, which
can be about any aspect related to their
industries, gets an expert in that industry to
get down to their location and offer them
    trainings.
  • In order to enroll for onsite trainings,
originations need to take a few simple steps. The
whole concept of onsite trainings is that they
are designed to offer complete freedom and
convenience to the participating organization in
    a number of ways.

The five steps to onsite learning
  • Onsite trainings can be adapted by any
organization that needs them. To make it
structured and focused, all that they need to do
is to take the following steps
  • 1. Deciding on the course curriculum First of
all, the organization needs to zero in on the
topic of the training. This of course, is a
no-brainer, because without knowing on which
topic they need professional trainings, it is
meaningless to start the process. For this, the
organization has to bring heads together.
Everyone from the CEO to the technical or product
lead to the HR to the Finance Head has to be
    involved in this process

5
  • The CEO has to take a call on assessing the
importance of this training and what it does for
the organization the Product Head on what is to
be taught HR on looking at the logistics aspect,
and finally, Finance to look at the cost aspects.
  • 2. Choosing the trainer The trainer or the
Expert is without doubt, the linchpin of the
training program. The concerned people in the
organization have to search for a suitable expert
from its available sources and resources and
decide who is best from a list.

  • 3. Interact with the Expert The next logical
step would be to discuss the details of the
training with the expert. This would include the
course material, the duration, arrangements for
her stay, the number of people who will take part
    in the training, etc.
  • 4. Fix the schedule Once this is done, the
organization needs to chalk up a time table for
the training. Some of the typical questions that
need to be finalized include On what dates will
the training be held? For how many days is it
going to be held? At what time will it start and
at what time will it end? Till what date and time
is the Expert going to be available for
clarifications and discussions after the training
    event?

  • 5. Take care of the logistical aspects The task
of finding the right location, whether in the
office premises or outside, assembling employees
in that location at the scheduled times of the
training, arranging for the training materials
such as notes and stationery items, making
arrangements for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and
many other aspects of the arrangement have to be
in place at the time of the training. Getting all
these right will make the training hassle-free
    and thus, effective.
