Title: Improving Indoor Air Quality in Buildings

1
Improving Indoor Air Quality in Buildings
2
  • Indoor air quality (IAQ) affects health at home
and in industrial environments. Here are some
ways of improving the IAQ to protect human and
    pet health

3
Changes have to be Made to Building Designs
  • As compared to old structures the newer buildings
are now more air tight and use air envelopes. Air
conditioning is used to improve IAQ.

4
Use of New Building Materials and Systems
  • New materials and systems are used to make
buildings more comfortable while keeping the
running cost low. Dust suppression systems knock
    down dust.

5
Industrial Combustion Products from Heating
  • Where there is heat the air can get contaminated
due to the humidity produced. This infected air
can affect the airways and increase the risk of
    disease.

6
Biological Particles Such as Fungi are Inhalable
  • Parasitic pathogens, fungi, and algae get
attached to dust. The particles are small and are
inhalable and can get deposited in the lungs.

7
Radon and its Decay Products
  • The risk of developing lung cancer increases with
exposure to high levels of radon and its
products. It is a colorless, odorless,
    radioactive gas.

8
Dust Created by Industrial Processes
  • The cement manufacturing process generates a lot
of dust which is easily captured by dust
suppression systems. Other industries also use
    these systems.

9
  • Authorities are always looking for ways to
increase workers safety. For customized dust
    suppression systems contact the experienced
    companies.
