• It was founded in 1968 as SVUTA, with the aim of
  representing the industrys interests and
  providing professional services for the rapidly
  increasing need for temporary workers and
  flexible employment options. It merged with vps
  in 1998 under the new name of vpds, opening
  membership of the Association up to employment
  agencies and HR consultancy firms. In 2006, the
  Association was renamed swissstaffing.
