• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has become a
  revolution in the field of alternative medicine
  and has brought down many severe conditions into
  normal levels. Unfortunately, many people are not
  aware of the treatments and the protocols
  followed in it. Although, hyperbaric oxygen

  general there are some general implementations
  which could be considered as protocols.

• The first thing to look at is how the treatments
  and the sessions are decided. The number of

• Protocols for HBOT based on conditions
• Acute Conditions Acute or not-so-threatening
  conditions are those which occur either due to
  sports injury, toxin exposure, etc. The number
  of treatment sessions is limited to 1 or 2. These
  acute conditions can be healed completely within
  a matter of 10 days. It never exceeds ten days
  and sometimes the conditions can be healed in
  less than ten days.

• Chronic conditions Chronic conditions are
  those that occur either due to bone damage, soft
  tissue damage, etc. and they are very dangerous
  for an individual. There is no limit for the
  sessions and the patient generally has to visit

  times. Even in chronic conditions, there are
  levels of severity and based on this the
  physician will determine the number of sessions.
  It may take months or couple of years to

  assured that the treatment will work. On rare

  40 sessions. During this treatment, the patient
  is expected to attend 40 sessions initially and a
  interval of several weeks is given and the
  patient is asked to resume the therapy again for

• Time period of a session
• Irrespective of the condition acute or chronic
  the patient is expected to stay in the chamber
  for a minimum of one hour and a maximum of 2
  hours. There will not be any extended sessions
  and the patient can leave the hyperbaric oxygen
  treatment in Mississauga after the set time
  period.
• However, during emergencies where the patient is
  in need of pure oxygen to save his/her life the
  chamber is used for more than 2 hours and the
  time period can exceed to 8 hours.

• The Procedure
• Generally, the Mississauga hyperbaric oxygen
  chambers should be used only once or twice a day
  by a patient. It is based on the recommendation
  of the doctor and the optimal results are found
  when the patient attends every session without
  fail. The sessions are spread accordingly several
  times a week and scheduled to convenience.
• The entire process of HBOT is on the basis of
  outpatient consultancy. Hence, the patient can
  leave immediately after the session in the oxygen
  chamber without having to worry about any side
  effects.
