Step-1
Sometimes all computers need a little time to
catch up on all the things they are being asked
to do, so always give you Mac five minutes or so
in case the need to force a shutdown passes. This
is particularly relevant if the spinning "beach
ball" symbol is on your display. This indicates
that your Mac is busy. .

Step- 2
Check your Mac has stopped responding completely
If you are still able to move the mouse, you may
be able to access your applications in order to
save any unsaved work.

Step-3
Attempt to shut down your Mac normally by
clicking on the "Apple" icon and selecting "Shut
Down."
6
Step-4
Try the keyboard shortcut to shut down your Mac.
Press "Control" "Option" "Command" "Eject."
If the keyboard shortcut works, your active
applications should close, and provide you with
the opportunity to save your work.

Step-5
If your Mac still fails to respond, you will have
to force a hardware shutdown.
Hold down the power button on your Mac for 3 to 5
seconds until your Mac powers down. Wait for
about 30 seconds, then power up your Mac.
