negative consequences.

PSY 303 Week 3 Assignment Suicide Risks (Ash) FOR
MORE CLASSES VISIT www.psy303aid.com     Suicide
Risks Depression is a major risk factor for
suicide.  The deep despair and hopelessness that
is associated with depression often makes suicide
seem like the only way to escape the pain.
Thoughts of death or suicide are a serious
symptom of depression.For this assignment,
search the internet and locate a suicide risk
assessment instrument (website, quiz,
questionnaire, etc) and discuss the risk factors
for suicide that are identified in the
assessment.  What role does depression play in
suicide in regards to ones age, gender,
ethnicity, and socioeconomic status?  How do
these particular variables correlate to, and what
impact do they have on suicide rates?
Additionally, based on the suicide risk
assessment instrument you selected, discuss what
you would say or do in response to someone you
know who is having difficulties with
interpersonal style, emotional regulation, or
impulse control.  How would you react to someone
who was threatening suicide in an overly dramatic
way?
