What is RAM?
  • RAM or Random Access Memory is being used by
different processes happening on your PC or
    laptop.
  • Your computer will lag if you use your entire
    RAM.
  • Prevention of frequent crashing might be crucial
    to your computer.
  • Apply the following software changes to protect
    your systems.

3
STEP 1
  • Open the Task Manager by pressing
Ctrl-Shift-Esc keys at the same time.
  • To see the running processes go to Processes
    tab.
  • Click the tab Memory to organize the usage.
  • Close processes that are using too much of your
    memory.
  • If you cant close them, note this observation
and keep an eye on it.

4
STEP 2
  • Switch to the Windows Classic or Windows Basic 7
    theme instead of choosing AERO.
  • AERO version uses lots of memory compared to
    others.
  • Open Control Panel.
  • Go to Appearance and Personalization gt
    Personalization.
  • Browse the list and select a non-AERO version.

5
STEP 3
  • Restart browsers after using them for some time.
  • Disable or remove add-ons or plugins that you are
    no longer using.
  • Wasting of memory or memory leaks usually happens
    in Firefox.
  • Upgrade your browsers to the latest version to
avoid problems that may affect your RAM.

6
STEP 4
  • While at startup, figure out which programs are
    already running in the background.
  • Press the Windows key and then R to summon a
    search box.
  • Type msconfig and click Enter.
  • Startup tab will show you all the processes
that are running on your computer.
  • Uncheck those that you dont need to run while at
    startup.
  • Click Apply and OK.

7
STEP 5
  • Save all your work or game progress.
  • Reboot your PC.
  • Once you reopened it, look back into Task Manager
and observe the memory amount being used by
    different programs.

8
  • Call a technician or go back to step 1 if
    problems reoccur.
  • If you cant remove any of the open programs, buy
    additional RAM for your PC.
  • This will resolve memory problems and enhance the
    performance of your PC.
