Cheese manufacturing industry in the US includes
three types of establishments (1) those that
manufacture nonalcoholic beverages (2) those
that manufacture alcoholic beverages through the
fermentation process and (3) those that produce
distilled alcoholic beverages. Cheese production
value in the US grew at a CAGR of 5.5 between
2010 and 2015. The growth is expected to
decelerate during the period 2015 to 2020 with
expected CAGR of 4.1. The production growth
trend is in line with the domestic demand which
grew at a CAGR of 5.3 between 2010 and 2015. The
US is a net exporter of cheese and the share of
exports in total production value has increased
from 1.9 in 2010 to 3.6 in 2015.
