Welcome to

  • Our Methodology
  • Each of our expert analysts covers multiple asset
classes - Forex, Equity Indices, Commodities and
Fixed Income - and applies technical analysis
methods that are appropriate to each asset type
The techniques that can be applied to Equity
Indices may not work for spot FX. Therefore the
analysis method used by each analyst has the same
overall objective which is met by using slightly
different techniques. Additionally, at PIA First
we 'overlay' our own unique bespoke system which
highlights areas of support and resistance,
essential knowledge when trading any market.
  • Technical analysis is the study of price and
volume with the sole aim of forecasting future
price movements. Our analysis reports look at
these variables together with various indicators,
which are mathematical transformations of price,
in order to verify whether a market is trending
or trading is controlled by willing buyers or
anxious sellers is subdued or has over-reacted.
We identify areas of support and resistance,
trend lines, patterns and other variables. We
deliver you all this information in our easy to
read report along with a clear, actionable
trading strategy based on our analytical views.

published with specified trigger levels, target
levels and an accompanying stop loss level. Our
ideas are formulated with 2 profit target levels
which may be adjusted as directed in updates.
Methodology behind our analysis is for taking
profit on 75 of a position at the 1st target

Performance Report
  • Check our Profit and Loss report updated monthly
-We publish the performance of our daily trading
strategies so you can see how well our trade
ideas have performed on a theoretical basis. Each
trading strategy and its updates are date time
stamped via the email delivery service and
recorded via the market price at that time. Using
our performance methodology detailed below, we
calculate the performance for every daily
predictive strategy that we publish. Historic
performance is recorded in our pips table
demonstrating a total points theoretical points
return per month since May 2008.
  • Performance report calculation -The Entry
Level/Trigger is taken from a fusion of ASPEN,
Saxo IG Market charting packages. As our
performance is theoretical, in an attempt to
achieve a fair reflection, we consult with
    multiple platforms (Exchange, CFD
Spread-betting) A trade is considered open when
prices on any platform have traded within a tick
of the trigger price. A winning trade is
considered closed when prices on any platform
have traded within a tick of the target price. A
losing trade is considered closed when prices on
any platform have traded a tick through the stop
price. A trade is considered closed at the price
at 2100 hrs (UK) or 0600 hrs UK for
Asian/Pacific, when prices on any platform have
not achieved target or stop price.
