Oceans Amazing Influence
  • People love to have homes near beaches for a lot
of reasons. There are those who are willing to
pay more to get rooms with an ocean view.
Studies have shown that ocean exposures can
improve a healthy well-being and can also be a
form of relaxation or as a good therapy to
    reduce stress.

3
Enjoy The Seemingly Endless Shoreline of Long
Island Beaches
  • When you talk about Long Island, what brings to
mind are pictures of sun, sand and surfing. The
island boasts of several nice beaches -- each one
has its own beauty and uniqueness. Long Island
beaches are legendary with its powder-fine, white
sands and pristine waters where one can enjoy
endless activities or just simply spend the day
    relaxing and strolling.

START PLANNING YOUR ROAD TRIP(A look at some of
the best BEACHES in Long Island)

LONG BEACH, NY
  • Long Beach is accessible via the Long Island Rail
Road from Penn Station. In addition to surfing,
one can also enjoy strolling in neighborhoods,
with playgrounds for children and toddlers, and
bike rentals. The western section of Long Beach
features charming beach homes that have been
built in the early 1900s. Most are stucco
combined with brick, being two-to-three stories
high, with a garage on the first floor.

6
JONES BEACH STATE PARK
  • Designed on the theme of an ocean liner, Jones
Beach offers many activities like a swim in the
ocean, strolling the boardwalk, fish, visit an
    historic exhibit, play miniature golf,
shuffleboard and basketball, attend concerts at
the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater or learn about
the marine environment at the Theodore Roosevelt
    Nature Center.

7
SEA CLIFF BEACH
  • About 25 miles east of Manhattan and located atop
a 120-foot cliff, overlooking the ocean, the
village of Sea Cliff is full of old Victorian
houses. Sea Cliff Beach features powder-fine sand
where families can enjoy a nice walk or family
picnic, watch the sunset or rent boats. Swimming
lessons offered to children as well.

OYSTER BAY BEACH
  • Rich in historical houses and sites, quaint
streets and a laid back atmosphere, Oyster Bay is
a very pleasant place to visit. Its beach is a
favorite destination. Work on your tan, enjoy a
swim, or go to the Waterfront Center, which
features summer sailing programs, sailboat and
    kayak rentals and children's programs.

MONTAUK BEACH
  • Known as "The End," Montauk sits on the
easternmost tip of Long Island's South Fork. Its
wide, white beaches are breathtaking and known as
surfing meccas. In 2009, Surfer magazine named
Montauk one of the Ten Best Surf Towns in
America. With over 20 marinas, countless hotels
and motels and plenty of seafood restaurants,
