Over the last few years, Vaikundarajan and VV
Minerals have been under harsh criticism. From
being accused of illegal sand mining to having
powerful political influence, several allegations
have surfaced without supporting evidence.

IAS Ashwin Kumar and ex-IAS V Sundaram have been
forthright in these allegations. In one of his
letters, Sundaram accuses VV Mineral
Vaikundarajan of looting Rs. 96,000 crore.

Following these allegations against the company,
the state government set up an investigating
committee. As of today, there is no concrete
evidence to suggest any illegal activities on VV
Minerals part.

Vaikundarajan owns shares in Mavis Satcom that
has stakes in Jaya TV. He also holds stocks in
Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank (TMB). This knowledge
has been used unfairly by malefactors to coerce
VV Mineral Vaikundarajan.
As of now, the National Green Tribunal has
suspended sand mining activities in coastal
areas. VVMineral Vaikundarajan stays optimistic
and states that his enterprise will soon walk
clean.
