What is Aadhaar Card?

• Aadhaar Card Number is a 12 digit
  identification number, issued by Unique
  Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to all
  the residents of India for the purpose of Unique
  Identification for Individuals.

How To Register An Aadhaar Card?

• All you need to do is to visit the nearest
  Enrollment Camp mostly Indian Post with certain
  legal documents to register for an Aadhaar.
• You need to provide photograph and biometric
  scanning of ten fingerprints and eye impressions
  (Iris Scan)
• The Enrolling agency gives us an enrolment number
  upon completion.
• Residents will be issued an Aadhar number within
  20 to 30 days of registration date.

How To Download Aadhaar Card?

• The UIDAI has enabled the aadhaar card download
  option. The official website of UIDAI i.e.
  http//uidai.gov.in/ helps in easy downloading of
  e aadhaar. The only requirement is to follow
  simple set of steps described below.
• Step 1
• Click on the e aadhaar portal of UIDAIs
  official website uidai.gov.in You will find it in
  the aapka aadhar section named aadhar
  enrollment.
• Step 2
• Fill the necessary details as written in your
  aadhar card
• receipt.
• Step 3
• Submit the form
• Step 4
• After getting confirmed click on the tab
  named download your eaadhar.  Clicking on the
  button the eaadhar gets downloaded in PDF format.

Check Aadhaar Card Status Online

• Unique Identification Number or UID is
  controlled by Unique Identification Authority of
  India (UIDAI), We can easily check the status of
  our Aadhar Card by providing the Enrollment
  Number, Date and Time provided at the time of
  enrollment in Aadhar Card Scheme.

• If you dont have an Internet association or
  you dont have a PC/smart phone, no stress, you
  can at present track your Aadhaar status through
  SMS on your mobile. For this you will need to
  send an instant message (SMS) after which you
  will get the most recent status of your Aadhaar
  as an issue to your SMS on your portable number.

Aadhaar Card Enough To Get Pan Card

• The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has
  issued a notification making the Electors Photo
  Identity Card (EPIC) and Aadhaar issued is a
  valid proof of date of birth for obtaining PAN
  card.
• With this, obtaining a PAN card has
  become easier and Aadhaar will be enough a
  document for it. According to IT these two
  documents will be valid as the proof an
  individual identify, address and date of birth
  for obtaining PAN card.
