Justin McKenzie WSSU - Unsung Hero Award

• Justin McKenzie of WSSU received the Campus
  Unsung Hero Award at Winston-Salem State
  University in 2013. He has been associated with
  WSSU since 2011, when he became the University's
  Associate Provost and Chief Information Officer.
  He has more than fifteen years of experience in
  IT, and several years of executive-level/CIO
  experience in higher education.

University of Southern Mississippi

• Justin McKenzie of WSSU attended the University
  of Southern Mississippi and received his Bachelor
  of Science degree in Information Systems in 1998.
  From there, he went on to William Carey
  University and received his Master of Business
  Administration degree in 2001. He returned to the
  University of Southern Mississippi for his Master
  of Science degree, which he received in 2005.

Justin McKenzie of WSSU is known as an
experienced and organized leader with an expert
knowledge of Information Technology. He has broad
experience in higher education IT, which he built
through a career in IT support services,
telecommunications, and related fields. He is
known for his creative leadership style. He holds
B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of
Southern Mississippi, and an MBA from William
Carey University.

Associate Vice President

• Justin McKenzie of WSSU has many years of
  experience with Information Technology at the
  University level. He served as the Director and
  Chief Technology Officer at the University of
  Southern Mississippi from 2003 to 2009, and was
  Associate Vice President and CIO of the Florida
  Institute of Technology from 2009 until 2011.
  More recently he was Associate Provost and Chief
  Information Officer at Winston-Salem State
  University.

Successful Projects
Justin McKenzie of WSSU has many years of
experience with Information Technology. He has
successfully led technical professionals,
collaborated with supported divisions, and led
institution-wide projects. His successful
projects include legacy system conversion, VOIP
telecommunications system installation, virtual
computing, and more. He is currently working
toward his Ph.D. from the University of Southern
Mississippi, where he already received a Master
of Science degree.

• Justin McKenzie of WSSU is working toward his
  Ph.D. from the University of Southern
  Mississippi. He already holds Master of Science
  and Bachelor of Science degrees from that
  institution, and a Master of Business
  Administration from William Carey University. He

  skills, team-building abilities, and for his
  productivity and use of time.
