What is Follicular Unit Extraction?

• Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE that has become
  a common trend now a days indeed is a very
  effective procedure. A highly effectual hair
  transplant procedure, FUE is a very powerful
  technique in which hair follicles are extracted
  separately from the individuals donor part and
  then transplanted into the balding region.

Different Steps Involved in FUE Procedure

• Local anesthesia
• Collecting donor tissue
• Stereo-microscopic dissection
• Forming the recipient sites
• Graft insertion

Step - 1

• Certain sedatives and anesthesia like Lidocaine
  (xylocaine) and Bupiviacaine (Marcaine) are used
  to numb the tissues of the scalp. Sometimes,
  vibrations 0f high frequency is also used to make
  sure that the patient does not feel any kind of
  sensation in due course of the operation. Once
  the scalp is anesthetized, the whole
  transplantation procedure is painless.

Step - 2

• Donor tissues are removed from a supportive and
  stable part of the body. Also, the hair that is
  removed happens to be of maximum 1 mm in size.

Step - 3

• The removed grafts are placed to be examined
  under the microscope and the integrity of the
  follicles is evaluated with an effective process.

Step - 4

• After that, recipient sites are formed by the
  surgeon himself using special equipment called
  hypodermic needle.

Final Step

• Once the recipient parts are created properly,
  the efficient surgical team starts transplanting
  each graft individually into the pre-made area.
