  • Paper divided into four sections.
  • Section A (8 marks) It consists of 8 questions
    of 1 mark each.
  • Section B (20 marks) It consists of 10 questions
    of 2 marks each.
  • Section C (27 marks) It consists of 9 questions
    of 3 marks each.
  • Section D (15 marks) It consists of 3 questions
    of 5 marks each.

  • Periodic table(Study of the p,d f block
    elements).
  • IUPAC Nomenclature.
  • Read the basics of Substitution, Elimination and
    Resonance.
  • Go for the Adsorption isotherm ,Raoults Law,,
    Nernst Equation, Molar mass determination etc. as
    they hold a major importance and are the
    frequently asked questions.
  • Always practice well of the important and famous
    reactions like the Hoffmann, Cannizzaro,Freidal
    Crafts Reaction, Aldol,etc.

Tips to score better
  • Revise the notes prepared by you throughout the
    year. They help to memorize the subject in a
    systematic way.
  • Make a list of various formulae and stick them
    onto a wall or your study table and try to read
    and memorize these notes every time.
  • Practice numerical because it is the best way to
    get full marks.
  • Practice previous year question papers, sample
    papers and other model test papers.
