which an egg is fertilized by sperm in the
laboratory.

The First Consultation The first consultation
with the doctor involves discussions on the
medical history of the patient and her husband.

to start the treatment as well as improves the
success rate.

Preliminary tests and Instructions A Blood test
and an ultrasound test will be taken place to
calculate the quality and count the eggs. Proper
instructions will be given to the patient on how
to use the fertility drugs.

Medicine for the egg growth In order to produce
more eggs the patient is given fertility drugs
during the cycle. After two weeks another drug is
injected to stimulate the ovulation. During these
2 weeks, the patient need to visit the clinic for
ultrasound and blood tests which are necessary to
monitor the progress.

Collecting the Eggs During the ovulation eggs
will be collected out of ovaries with a hollow
needle from the fallopian tubes. The sperm cells
from the partner were also taken. The eggs and
sperm cells are mixed in an incubator for
insemination.

Embryo Transfer After harvesting the eggs for 3
days in the laboratory, the doctor will insert
the embryos in the uterus using a thin tube.
Embryo transfer will be done after the selection
of healthiest embryos from the laboratory.

After the transfer of embryos the patient is
injected with progesterone to aid implantation.
Pregnancy test will be carried out in two weeks
giving the result.
