Title: How to Decorate a Punk Teen's Bedroom
1How to Decorate a Punk Teen's Bedroom
2Move all of your stuff out of your room
3Make three piles one of things to keep, one pile
of things that you would like to donate or sell,
and the third pile devoted to things that are not
in good condition that should be thrown away.
4Vacuum or sweep the floors
5Clean the surfaces of your furniture
6Wash your sheets and blankets on your bed
7Paint your door, if you are allowed-
Color your boring door with punk-like colors. Try
graffiti, if your parents permit it. If you're
not allowed, just cover the door with posters,
photos or whatever you'd like.
8 If you want your floor to be glittery, spread a
bucket of glitter all over your floor
9 Add a funky rug!
10Paint them, if you can. Be bold! Paint your
favorite color. Keep in mind, however, that some
good punk colors include red and black. Blue and
purple look good too. Take your pick.
Use spray paint, if your parents/guardians will
allow it. It can add a cool look to your
soon-to-be punk room!
Again, if you are allowed, you might want to have
graffiti drawn on your walls. Be creative!
11Add cool room decor to your walls- Cover your
walls with posters of your favorite punk bands or
singers. These are great because they are
inexpensive and can be moved entirely to your
liking. You can also make posters yourself. You
could also hang chains from the ceilings, have
skulls on your walls (assuming that they're fake,
of course), or get a new bedspread with guitars
and skulls or something like that on it. When it
comes to adding cool extras, the sky is the
limit!
12 If you have money, invest in some new,
modern-style furniture- Black, red and white are
good colors to use. You can also paint old
furniture if you're allowed to.
13 Invest in a stereo with good quality speakers
that can play an iPod, if you have one.
14 If you are or want to be a punk musician, obtain
a guitar or a bass (or even a drum set, if you
have space)- They will look nice in your room.
15 Decorate the room with all kinds of colorful
lights, such as a disco ball, if you want to.
16 Little things can make a big difference- Get
small punk-themed things like calendars, wall
stickers, school supplies, bedspreads, etc.
17Have random things dotted about that represent
you.
This is a must. For example, if you're a skater,
place your skateboard in the corner.
