To Be Self-published Through Kickstarter
(1888PressRelease) Launch of a new Kickstarter to
self-publish an original graphic novel about
super-powered DEAD PRESIDENTS fighting
super-villains from history and saving humanity!
Starting Constitution Day, the day celebrating
the document that without there would be no DEAD
PRESIDENTS, and lasting 38 days...the number of
DEAD PRESIDENTS. This is a Kickstarter project
to raise funds to self-publish an original
graphic novel (OGN) about the 38 dead presidents
gaining super-powers to save Earth from a
cosmic-powered Hitler and his allies from the
trash-bin of history. THE DEAD PRESIDENTS (TDP)
combine a love of presidential history and
super-hero comic books into one epic tale written
by Kevin Garcia and illustrated by Jeremy Massie.
After Hitler invades Earth, Thomas Jefferson
comes up with a plan to stop him, but not all of
TDP are interested in Earth's problems including
the one that can save the day GEORGE WASHINGTON.
He's enjoying the After-Life living it up with
Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Kevin is a
former high school social studies teacher turned
screenwriter. "I have useless presidential
knowledge floating around in my head right next
to everything I know about comic books," says the
writer and comic book reader since 1991. "So I
smashed them together." Not only a reader but he
also had a seven-year career behind the counter
of two different comic book shops. While
knowledgeable about the industry he had no idea
how to get an artist and so last year, through a
successful Kickstarter, he raised funds to hire
an artist to bring TDP to life. A little over two
hundred responded from around the world to the ad
looking for an artist. Jeremy applied with a
simple sentence and some amazing artwork. Jeremy
lives in Virginia with his wife and young
children and is the creator of ALL MY GHOSTS.

The Kickstarter launches on the 227th anniversary
of the completion and signing of the
Constitution. It will last 38 days in honor of
the 38 dead presidents as well as the governing
document that make TDP universe possible. Each
day of the Kickstarter campaign, visitors to the
site will be introduced to a dead president
starting with Ronald Reagan and working down to
number one. If the goal is not met, then nothing
happens. TDP stay dead. Contributing as little as
