How to Apply for IIT JEE Advanced?
  • Students appearing for Advanced must have cleared
    JEE Mains for sure.
  • The application form for JEE Advanced is
    available online on the official portal of JEE
    Advanced.
  • Once the registration is completed, it is
    important to take a print out of the confirmation
    page.

What are the eligibility criteria for appearing
for JEE Advanced?
  • The candidate should have cleared Class 12th
    final examination or other equivalent qualifying
    exam.
  • It is important to appear for JEE Main Paper 1 in
    order to give JEE Advanced examination.
  • The candidate should have registered for the
    exam.
  • The student should have a hard copy of the Admit
    Card to write JEE Advanced.

What is the maximum number of attempts allowed
for JEE Advanced?
  • Students are allowed to take a maximum of two (2)
    attempts in two (2) consecutive years. However,
    one must try to give their best in the initial
    attempt itself.

What are the fee payment modes for JEE Advanced?
  • JEE Advanced fee can be paid through debit card
    or credit card.
  • One can also pay through Demand Draft (DD).

What is the selection process for JEE Advanced
2014?
  • About 14 lakh students appear for JEE Mains every
    year. Out of which only 1.5 lakh who qualify
    Mains are selected for JEE Advanced examination.
  • About 50 of the 1.5 lakh students from the top
    rankers of the Common Merit List (CML) are
    selected for JEE Advanced test.
  • 27 are selected from OBC-NCL, 15 from SC and
    about 7.5 from ST students list.
  • 3 of the students selected from the above
    category list will be those belonging to
    Physically Challenged sub-category (PwDs).
