Divy Amin, a California based certified fitness
trainer believes that weight training is as
beneficial as cardio to lose fat because one can
burn calories even after the workout is completed
with weight training. According to him, when it
comes to losing weight, not all exercises are
made equal and although a healthy exercise
routine includes a great number of moves, some
activities are far more efficient than others at
burning calories. This is a essential point as
the only trick to burning body fat is melting
more calories than you eat and the exercise
choice can make a big difference in speeding up
or delaying the results. According to Divy Amin,
there are some points that he thinks are
important while choosing the exercises.

The Power Of Cardio
  • In recent studies, cardiovascular exercise was
    able to melt down the most calories for weight
    loss. Participants involved in these studies were
    divided into three groups which are a cardio
    group, a weightlifting group, and a cardio and
    weightlifting group that worked out twice as long
    as compared to everyone else. The studies shows
    that the cardio group, who mainly exercised on
    treadmills were able to loose an equal amount of
    weight as the cardio-plus-weights group, despite
    the lesser workout time. The group that worked
    out only with weights, lost the least amount of
    weight.

Training With Intervals
  • In order to burn serious calories, pumping up the
    cardio routine with interval training. One can do
    this by exercising at a moderate rate for few
    minutes, then going at full-steam for a shorter
    interval, and then again returning to the limited
    rate to recover just before repeating the same
    cycle.

Eating Right For Losing Weight
  • Although exercise is a prime part in any
    weight-loss strategy, but one can usually burn
    far more calories by minimizing the food intake
    than by working them off with a moderate exercise
    routine. If counting calories is not acceptable,
    one can aim instead on eating lean and whole
    foods. By eating fresh fruits, tofu, salad
    veggies, egg whites, and whole-grain bread one
    won't have any room left for high-calorie food
    which contributes to calorie overload.
