What to do if your PC is crashing and freezing
frequently? Computers can freeze for a number of
different reasons, which makes trouble-shooting a
difficult and painstaking process. If you dont
look after the problem, freezing will continue to
make your PC experience bitter and
painstaking. Many understand computer freezes to
be a software issues, but this is rarely so. It
is often a hardware problem. This is easiest to
diagnose when the computer was working fine until
new hardware was added. Sometimes its a matter
of simply installing the correct driver for the
hardware. Damaged or incorrect drivers can cause
computer freezes by trying to access computer
resources that are already in use by the
operating system. Random access memory (RAM)
modules can also cause freezes when damaged by
overheating. A damaged or badly fragmented hard
drive can cause computer freezes, which is why it
is very important that hard drives be regularly
defragmented. Unfortunately, when uninstalling,
some programs will not completely uninstall,
leaving bits of themselves behind. Anti-virus and
firewall programs have reputations for being
tricky to uninstall, sometimes requiring one to
hunt down individual files manually and delete
them after going through the standard uninstall
procedure using Windows built- in
utility. Secretly installed malicious software
like viruses, spyware, Trojans, rootkits and

keyloggers can cause computers to freeze by
interfering with the operating systems normal
processes. 85 of time you can fix computer
freezes by tuning up your PC. By tuning up your
PC you can free up a large amount of wasted
resources, speed and power that your CPU is using
to keep unnecessary programs, data and services
alive. A tune up of your computer can be
different depending on where you take it for this
tune up. Some agents will actually open the
casing and blow out dust and debris, while most
of time a tune up consists of removal of
unnecessary files from your computer, clean up
the desktop, clean out the system registry, and
defragment your hard drive For more
