A punto de terminar el año, es grato para el área
de Bienestar ratificar con cifras, el lema Tu
bienestar esnuestro compromiso.
Cada uno de los beneficios ofrecidos por la

logrando con ello, entrealguno de los

os. El valor total del

Tú Protección Hasta el
momento 39colaboradores han disfrutado de
las tasaspreferenciales que ofrecen las
aseguradoras altomar su seguro a través de
la compañía,utilizando este beneficio en la

Certificación en Competencias Laborales
19 operadores certificados por el SENA
A Promover el desarrollo laboral del personal
técnico de obra es el objetivo principal del
proyecto decertificación de competencias
laborales que viene realizando la Dirección de
Formación y el área de Equiposen los proyectos
de Conalvías en Colombia.
19 operadores de maquinaria de construcción de
los proyectos del embalse de Bucaramanga y
VíasSustitutivas de Hidrosogamoso fueron
certificados por el SENA (Servicio Nacional de
Aprendizaje) enalistamiento y operación de
restroescabadora, bulldozer, motoniveladora,
camión minero, cargador,minicargador y
retrocargador minero.
La certificación, primera de manera masiva que se
realiza en la compañía, es el resultado de un
programa queviene realizando el área corporativa
de Gestión Humana de Conalvías por promover el
desarrollo laboral y elbienestar de sus
colaboradores.
Proceso de Certificación
El primer paso del proceso de
certificaciónconsistió en la selección y
entrenamiento delequipo de evaluadores y
posteriormente del grupode operadores que
participarían en el proceso devalidación.
Una vez el SENA certificó al grupo de
evaluadoresen sus respectivas normas, inició la
tercera fasedel proyecto, que consistió en la
valoración de losconocimientos en normas
de seguridad detránsito y personal,
preparación de los equipos yevidencias de
maniobra en sus respectivasmáquinas para
la certificación de los operadoresinscritos en
la etapa inicial, que
incluyó,igualmente, a los mismos evaluadores.
Buscamos que los operadores-evaluadoresfueran
personas integrales no sólo que tuvieranlas
habilidades para determinar si sus
compañerospueden o no ser certificados, sino que
igualmentefueran reconocidos dentro de sus áreas
de trabajopor su alto grado de
responsabilidad, suorientación al logro, su
alta vocación de servicio yel liderazgo que
tienen en sus respectivos frentesde trabajo,
dijo Antonio Pradilla, Director deEquipos.
Fue un gran esfuerzo el que se hizo,
puesteníamos que coordinar la evaluación de
loscompañeros con la disponibilidad de los
equipos ylos turnos de trabajo. No fue
sencillo perotampoco imposible, pues no sólo
nos limitamos enemitir o no nuestro concepto
para la certificación,sino que hicimos las
recomendaciones paramejorar en el
alistamiento y maniobra de lasrespectivas
máquinas, dijo Durlandy Amaya,operador de
Volqueta Doble Troque del proyectoEmbalse de
Bucaramanga y evaluador en la normade Camión
Minero.
Fue así como durante 3 días de talleres en
loscampamentos de los proyectos y el SENA
deGirón (Santander), los evaluadores conocieron
lasrespectivas normas, los instrumentos con los
quese evalúan las habilidades en el alistamiento
yconducción de las máquinas, los
formatosrequeridos durante el proceso de
certificación ylas recomendaciones para la
evaluación en elterreno maniobrando las
respectivas máquinas.
La cuarta y última fase del proyecto consistió en
elproceso de validación de las
evidenciaspresentadas por los evaluadores
que hizo elequipo calificador del SENA de
la mesa deconstrucción de Bogotá.

Sabía que unas de las características de los
colaboradores de Conalvías era su grado de
compromiso ycalidad de las actividades, pero
jamás me imaginé encontrarme con un entregable de
tan buena calidadCarpetas completas con los
documentos perfectamente diligenciados,
evidencias fotográficas de lasevaluaciones,
fotocopias de las normas que evaluaron con las
anotaciones pertinentes. Para nosotros
essupremamente motivante evidenciar este grado
de compromiso en los procesos de certificación
querealizamos, dijo William Montaña, Instructor
del SENA durante su visita de acompañamiento
realizada elpasado 3 de noviembre.
Gracias a la calidad de los documentos
presentados en el proyecto, se facilitó el
proceso de auditoría final,con el cual el SENA
emite las certificaciones.
Siguientes pasos
El próximo año iniciará la certificación en
lasnormas de construcción, transporte y
soldaduraen los diferentes proyectos de
Conalvías enColombia.
Se espera que al concluir el año 2014,
Conalvíashaya certificado al personal
técnico deconstrucción, transporte y soldadura
sin estudiosque confirman sus habilidades en las
funcionesque desempeñan.
Certification in Occupational Competencies
19 operators certified by the SENA
Promoting the occupational development of field
technical personnel is the main objective of the
certificationproject in occupational
competencies, currently undertaken by the
Training and Team Departments fromConalvías
projects in Colombia.
A total of 19 construction machinery operators at
the Bucaramanga reservoir and Alternate Roads
atHidrosogamoso projects were certified by the
SENA (National Learning Service) in backhoe,
bulldozer,motorgrader, mining trucks, loaders,
mini-loaders and mining loader backhoe set up and
operation.
This certification, first awarded in a massive
way within the company, is the result of a
program beingundertaken by the corporate area of
Human Resources at Conalvías, aimed to promote
occupational trainingand welfare of our members.
Certification process
The first step of the certification program
involved the selection and training of the
assessment team and,subsequently, the operators
that would take part in the validation process.
We wanted the operators - evaluators to be
upstanding people not only with the skills
required to determinewhether their colleagues
should obtain the certification or not, but also,
renowned within their own workingareas because
of their high sense of responsibility,
goal-oriented, service call and leadership in
each of theirwork fronts, said Antonio
Pradilla, Team Director.
And so, during 3 days of workshops at the camps
of each project and of the SENA at Giron
(Santander),evaluators were instructed in the
relevant rules, instruments used to assess skills
in machinery set up andoperation, forms required
throughout the certification process and
recommendations for ground evaluation,maneuvering
the relevant machinery.

After the SENA certified the group of evaluators
intheir relevant standards, the third phase of
theproject kicked-off, involving the assessment
of theknowledge on traffic and personal
safetystandards, equipment set up and
maneuvering ofeach of the machines for the
certification of theoperators registered in the
initial stage, whichincluded, likewise, the
evaluators themselves.
I knew that one of the
characteristics ofConalvías members was
the degree ofcommitment and quality level
they put in each oftheir activities, but never
did we imagine finding adeliverable on a scale
such as this thoroughlyreviewed folders
containing every singledocument we needed
and filled in neatly, picturesof evaluations,
copies of the rules that wereassessed with
relevant notes. For us, it isabsolutely
motivating to see this degree ofcommitment
in the certification processes that weprovide,
said William Montaña, Instructor of theSENA
during his assessment visit on November3rd.
I think it was a great effort as we needed
tosynchronize the evaluation of our colleagues
withequipment availability and work shifts. It
was noteasy but it was not impossible either, as
we gaveour concept for certification and
furtherrecommendations to improve the set up
processand maneuvering of the relevant
machinery, saidDurlandy Amaya, truck
operator at theBucaramanga reservoir project
and evaluator fromMining Truck rules.
Thanks to the quality of the documents
submittedin the project the final audit
process, on which theSENA is based to issue the
certifications, wasexpedited.
The fourth and last stage of the project
consistedof the validation of submitted evidence
by theevaluators, completed by the evaluation
team ofthe SENA, from the construction team at
Bogota.
Following steps
The certification in construction, transportation
and welding standards will begin next year in the
differentprojects of Conalvías in Colombia.
By late 2014, we expect to have the technical
staff of construction, transportation and welding
certified solelyby Conalvías, with no need for
any other studies endorsing their competency to
carry out their functions.

Programa de Acogida a Nuevos Talentos
Yo Soy Mentor
El departamento de Gestión Humana
deConalvías en Colombia presentó el Programa
deAcogida a Nuevos Talentos, denominado Yo
SoyMentor, cuyo objetivo principal es el de
facilitar yhacer más amigable la vinculación de
los nuevoscolaboradores a su entorno laboral.
Qué es un Mentor y qué hace?
En Conalvías, los Mentores son colaboradoresque
desean apoyar de manera voluntaria
elproceso de inclusión de nuevos colaboradores
ala cultura de Conalvías y sus valores
corporativos.
El programa también promueve el sentido
depertenencia hacia Conalvías, disminuir los
nivelesde ansiedad propios del proceso de
ingreso,familiarizar al nuevo colaborador con su
cargo y,en definitiva, lograr una óptima
integración a lacompañía.
Los Mentores son colaboradores líderes,
amables,alegres, cálidos, comprometidos con los
objetivosde la compañía, que además tienen
vocación deservicio y don de gente.
El Programa de Acogida a Nuevos Talentos
cuentaya con un equipo de 50 Mentores de todos
losproyectos en Colombia, los cuales
respondieron ala convocatoria general que
se realizó acomienzos de noviembre
pasado, quedandoinscritos de manera voluntaria
como los primerosMentores del programa.

inColombia introduces its Welcome Program
forNew Talents named I am a Mentor, which
mainpurpose is to ease and make of the
adaptation ofnew members to their workplace a
more friendlyprocess.
What is a Mentor and what does he/she do?
In Conalvías, Mentors are members wishing
tovolunteer with and support the entry process
ofnew workers into Conalvías culture and
generalplans.
In addition, the purpose of the program is
alsopromoting the sense of belonging
towardsConalvías, while decreasing anxiety
levels relatedto a new job, making the new
employee feelfamiliar with its position and,
last but not least,achieve an optimal blending
in the company.
Mentors are leaders. Therefore, they are
friendly,cheerful, warm, committed with the
companysgoals with a strong call to serve and
charisma.
The Welcome Program for New Talents
alreadyinvolves 50 Mentors from all projects in
Colombia,which attended the general call early
this month asvolunteers and becoming the first
Mentors of theprogram.

Contrato adjudicado por el Invías.
El Instituto Nacional de Vías (Invías) adjudicó a
Conalvías el proyecto de Mantenimiento y
Rehabilitación delas carreteras Duitama Ruta 55
Tramo 5503 y Sogamoso - Aguazul, Sector
Sogamoso - El Crucero Ruta62, Tramo 6211", a
ejecutarse en el departamento de Boyacá.
La licitación se llevó a cabo el 2 de octubre de
2012, dentro del marco de adjudicaciones del
programa deCorredores de Mantenimiento y
Rehabilitación del Invías, que tiene como
propósito mantener en buenestado la
transitabilidad y la seguridad vial del país. En
esta primera jornada se adjudicaron 5 de las
27licitaciones que componen el paquete de obras.
El plazo de ejecución del nuevo contrato
adjudicado a Conalvías es de 22 meses.Las
principales actividades del proyecto, con una
extensión de 102.25 km, son
- 278.000 m3 de afirmados, sub bases y bases
granulares.
- 61.000 m3 de mezcla para pavimento asfáltico.
- 49.000 m3 de fresado de pavimento.
- Obras de arte en concreto, señalización y
demarcación.

Contract awarded by Invias
The National Institute of Roads (Invias) awarded
to Conalvías the project of Maintenance and
Refurbishmentof the following roads Duitama
Route 55 Leg 5503 and Sogamoso - Aguazul,
Sogamoso - El Crucerostretch, Route 62, Leg
6211, to be executed in the department of
Boyaca.
The bid was awarded on October 2nd, 2012, within
the awarding framework of Invias program
Maintenanceand Refurbishment Corridors, which
aims to maintain a good traffic flow and road
safety in the country. In thisfirst part, 5 out
of 27 tenders belonging to the works package were
awarded.
The timeframe of the new contract awarded to
Conalvías is 22 months.
The main activities of the project, spanning
along 102.25 km, include the following
- 278.000 m3 of surfacing, subbases and granular
bases.

Terminó el proyecto de Arboletes
Conalvías concluyó con éxito el proyecto de
construcción de
obras de protección para la recuperación de una
parte dellitoral Caribe en los municipios de
Arboletes (Antioquia) y LosCórdobas (Córdoba),
encaminadas a mitigar el impacto deloleaje en la
línea de costa y recuperar playas y contrarrestar
laerosión costera.
El proyecto consistió en la construcción de 5
estructuras tipotómbolo de120 metros cada
una con sus respectivoscarretables2
espolones de 110 metros cada uno,
unaprotección longitudinal de300 metros,
estabilización deladeras, encausamiento de
aguas y regeneración de playasaproximadamente en
3 kilómetros.
Los materiales utilizados fueron escolleras y
arena.
La entrega del proyecto a la Gobernación de
Antioquia y alFondo Nacional de Regalías (FNR)
se llevó a cabo el pasado
23 de noviembre.

Arboletes project completed
Conalvías successfully finished the protection
works project for the recovery of a portion of
the Caribbeanlittoral in the municipalities of
Arboletes (Antioquia) and Los Cordobas (Cordoba),
aimed to mitigate theimpact of waves along the
shoreline, recover beaches and tackle coastal
erosion.
The project called for the construction of 5
tombolo-like structures, each measuring 120 mts
along withunpaved roads 2 jetties measuring 110
mts each, 300 mts of longitudinal protection,
slope stabilization,water canalization and beach
treatment spanning across an approximate area of
3 kilometers.
Materials used involved sand and riprap.
The project was delivered to the Governorate of
Antioquia and the National Fund of Royalties
(FNR) onNovember 23rd.

Entregado el colector pluvial
El pasado 12 de noviembre se entregó de manera
oficial al ConsorcioLínea Uno, del Metro de
Panamá, el proyecto de construcción del
canalcolector pluvial y un doble retorno
vehicular en Curundú. El canal tieneuna
longitud de 709 metros lineales, de los cuales
286 metros linealescorresponden a canal abierto,
revestido en concreto.

Rainwater collector delivered
On the past November 12th was officially
delivered to the Línea Uno consortium of the
Panama Metro, theconstruction project of the
rainwater canal and a car dual return road in
Curundu. The canal spans a lengthof 709 linear
meters, out of which 286 lineal meters correspond
to the concrete-lined open canal.

El Mío es un ejemplo para Latinoamérica
El sistema de transporte masivo Mío se constituye
en un ejemplo para Latinoamérica, por encima de
laexperiencia de Transmilenio, en Bogotá.
Ese es el análisis que el secretario general de
la Asociación Latino-Americana de Sistemas
Integrados yBRT (Bus Rapid Transit), Sibrt, Luis
Gutiérrez, hizo sobre el modelo caleño durante su
participación en elEncuentro Internacional de
Mejores Prácticas y Movilidad Sustentable,
realizado en Cali el pasado mes denoviembre y
que reunió a expertos en sistemas masivos de todo
el continente.
El analista destacó las ventajas que tiene el Mío
frente a otros sistemas en Colombia, pero aseguró
que sonnecesarios cambios técnicos para el
mejoramiento de frecuencias de rutas e
infraestructura y así alcanzarla eficiencia y la
óptima atención de sus pasajeros.
Conalvías ha sido protagonista de la construcción
del Mío, ya que ha estado presente en la
construcciónde más de 15 kilómetros del sistema,
en las troncales Carrera 1, Calle 5, Avenida de
las Américas y Avenida
3 Norte, las cuales suman 24 estaciones de
parada, de 1, 2, 3 y 4 vagones.
Además, Conalvías construyó dos patio-talleres
(Calima-Sameco de 53.077 metros cuadrados y
PuertoMallarino de 39.747 metros cuadrados) una
de las cuatro estaciones de transferencia que
tendrá todo elsistema, ubicada en el sector de
Cosmocentro, de 19.902 metros cuadrados y está
construyendo elsistema de transporte
aerosuspendido, Mio Cable.

Mío An example for Latin America
The Mío mass transportation system becomes an
example for Latin America, in contrast with
Transmilenioexperience in Bogota.
That was the analysis of the General Secretary
for the SIBRT - Latin American Association of
IntegratedTransport Systems and BRT (Bus Rapid
Transit), Luis Gutiérrez, about the Cali model
during his attendanceto the International
Meeting for Sustainable Mobility, held in Cali in
the past month of November, whichgathered
experts on mass systems from across the
continent.
The analyst highlighted the advantages of the Mío
before other systems in Colombia. However, he
saidthere are still technical modifications that

Conalvías has been involved in the Mío
construction works by building more than 15 Kms
of the systemalong Carrera 1, Calle 5, Avenida
de las Américas and Avenida 3 Norte
thoroughfares, which amount to 24stop stations -
each with 1, 2, 3 and 4 carriages.
Conalvías also constructed two yards - workshops
(Calima-Sameco 53.077 mts2 and Puerto Mallarino
39.747 mts2), as well as one of the four transfer
stations to be included in the system, spanning
19.902mts2 and located in the sector of
Cosmocentro and is currently constructing the
air-suspendedtransportation system of Mio Cable.

MTC anuncia proyectos de
infraestructura por US16 mil millones
El Gobierno peruano desarrollará proyectos de
infraestructura vial, ferroviaria, hidroviaria,
aeroportuaria,portuaria y de comunicaciones por
US 15.976 millones en el periodo 2012-2016,
informó el ministro deTransportes y
Comunicaciones, Carlos Paredes, quien dijo además
que casi la mitad de las inversionesplaneadas
se financiarán con recursos públicos, mientras
que el resto se desarrollará mediante
AlianzasPúblico Privadas (APP).
En infraestructura vial y concesiones se
invertirán US11.421 millones, lo cual permitirá
la pavimentación de
7.270 kilómetros de carreteras con la
participación del sector público y la empresa
privada.
Uno de los proyectos principales es la
pavimentación del 100 de la carretera
Longitudinal de la Sierra, queatraviesa a lo
largo el país, así como la construcción y
rehabilitación de 1.000 puentes.
En cuanto al sector ferroviario, destacó el
proyecto de construcción de la Línea 2 del Metro
de Lima. Serán
35 kilómetros de longitud subterráneos que
demandarán una inversión aproximada de US 3.000
millones.
Respecto a la inversión aeroportuaria se
convocará el proceso de concesión para la
construcción delAeropuerto Internacional de
Chinchero, con una inversión de US500 millones,
para que el Cusco cuente conun nuevo aeropuerto
internacional que cubra la actual y futura
demanda de pasajeros. Se espera entregar
laconcesión en el 2013.

The Peruvian government will develop road,
railways, waterways, airports, ports and
communicationsinfrastructure projects for US
15.976 million in the period 2012-2016, as
informed by the Ministry ofTransport and
Communications, Carlos Paredes, who also said
that half the planned investment will comefrom
public money, while the other half will be funded
by Public Private Partnerships (APP).
US11.421 million will be invested in road
infrastructure and concessions, which will enable
7.270 kilometersof roads to be paved, with the
participation of the public sector and private
companies.
One of the main projects is the paving of 100 of
the Longitudinal de la Sierra highway, which
crosses thecountry from south to north, as well
as the construction and refurbishment of 1.000
bridges.
In terms of railways, the Line 2 construction
project of the Metro of Lima was a highlight it
will rununderground along 35 kilometers, which
will require an approximate investment of US
3.000 million.
With regard to airports, an awarding process will
be put forward for the construction of
ChincheroInternational Airport, with an
investment of US500 million, to help relieve
congestion at Cusco and deal withthe current and
future demand of passengers. The awarding of the
project is to be carried out in 2013.

La economía peruana crece y sus necesidades
también. Si el Perú quiere cerrar la brecha de
infraestructurael 2021, año del bicentenario,
tendrá que invertir casi US88.000 millones.
Esta cifra se conoció en el estudio Por un Perú
Integrado Plan Nacional de Infraestructura
2012-2021,elaborado por la Universidad del
Pacífico y Esan, por encargo de la Asociación
para el Fomento de laInfraestructura Nacional
(Afin).
Estamos creciendo ahora a una tasa potencial de
6 anual sostenidamente, pero todo tiene un
límiteporque hay una cantidad de infraestructura
determinada, el país sigue creciendo y puede
haber un momentoen que el país podría tocar
techo, dijo el presidente de Afin, Gonzalo
Prialé.
Es decir, la falta de infraestructura puede
detener el crecimiento del país, donde la mayor
brecha está en elsector energía que requiere
US33.000 millones en inversión, especialmente en
electricidad.
El otro sector sensible es transporte que
necesita inversiones por US21.000 millones
poniendo énfasis enredes viales, además de
telecomunicaciones donde la brecha es de
US19.000 millones, de los cualesUS12 mil
millones corresponde a redes de banda ancha.
Para lograr estos objetivos el estudio recomienda
que el gobierno retome con más agresividad
lasasociaciones público privadas y las
iniciativas de inversión privada que se han
retraído en el último año.

Peru wants to bridge the gap of infrastructure,
it will needto invest an approximate of US88
billion by 2021, year of the bicentenary.
This figure was released in the study For an
Inclusive Peru National Plan of Infrastructure
2012-2021,prepared by the University of the
Pacific and the Esan, commissioned by the
Association for the Promotionof National
Infrastructure (Afin).
We are growing to a steady potential rate of 6
per annum, but everything has a limit and there
is only acertain amount of infrastructure, the
country keeps on growing and we are likely to
face a moment when wereach the ceiling, said
the president of Afin, Gonzalo Priale.
This means that the lack of infrastructure may
halt the growth of the country, where the biggest
gap is in theenergy sector and requires US33bn
in investment, specifically in electricity.
Another sensitive sector is transport, which
needs investments amounting to US21bn with
emphasis in roadnetworks, in addition to
telecommunications where the gap amounts to
US19bn, out of which US12bncorrespond to
broadband networks.
To achieve these goals, the survey suggests that
the government take a more aggressive approach
withregard to public private partnerships and
those private investment initiatives that
retreated last year.

El Foro Económico Mundial publicó el Informe
Global de Competitividad 2012-2013, el cual mide
lacompetitividad de 144 países.
La lista está liderada por cuarto año consecutivo
por Suiza, seguida de Singapur, Finlandia,
Suecia, Holanda,Alemania, Estados Unidos, Gran
Bretaña, Hong Kong y Japón.
Colombia pasó del puesto 68 al 69 y es superado
por Panamá (40), Brasil (48), México (53), Costa
Rica (57)y Perú (61). Sólo en el suministro de
energía Colombia está por encima del promedio
mundial.
Panamá y Perú avanzaron respecto al año anterior,
ascendiendo 9 y 6 lugares respectivamente.
Estados Unidos, a pesar de contar con un índice
de competitividad global mayor al año pasado,
descendiópor cuarto año consecutivo y bajó dos
puestos respecto al año anterior.
En cuanto a Calidad Portuaria, Panamá ocupa el 4
lugar, superado sólo por Holanda, Singapur y Hong
Kong.En el puesto 39 se sitúa Chile y sigue
siendo el país más competitivo de Latinoamérica.

How are we in matters of competitiveness?
The World Economic Forum published the Global
Competitiveness Report 2012-2013, which assesses
thecompetitiveness landscape of 144 countries.
The list shows that Switzerland tops the rankings
for the fourth consecutive year, followed by
Singapore,Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands,
Germany, United States, Great Britain, Hong Kong
and Japan.
Colombia declined in the positions, from the 68th
to the 69th place, overtaken by Panama (40),
Brazil (48),Mexico (53), Costa Rica (57) and
Peru (61). In energy supply, however, Colombia is
above the worlds average.
Panama and Peru also improved their rankings in
contrast to last year, being now in the 9th and
6th placesrespectively.
Even though the United States global
competitiveness index exceeded that of last year,
its ranking fell for thefourth year in a row and
slipped two places below last years position.
In terms of Port Quality Panama ranked the
fourth place, only overtaken by the Netherlands,
Singapore andHong Kong.
Chile is in the 39th place, being the most
competitive country in Latin America.

En la etapa final
El proyecto, que consiste en la construcción de
interceptores y colectores en la Autopista Sur,
tiene unavance total del 72.83
El colector Cazucá cuenta con un avance del
92.60. Se instalaron 108 metros de tubería de
1.600 mm,156 metros de tubería de 1.800 mm y 68
metros de tubería de 14.
El interceptor de la Autopista Sur tiene un
avance del 62.75, en donde se instaló un total
1.257 metros detubería de 16, 36 y 1 metro de
diámetro.
El colector Autopista Sur cuenta con un avance
del 92.62 habiendo instalado 1.170 metros
lineales entubería abovedada, 386 metros en
Túnel Liner, 443 metros en tubería de 30 de
diámetro y un total de 160metros en tubería de
18.
La tubería Paralelo (Av. Terreros), se encuentra
en un 83.62. Está instalada la tubería abovedada
en un totalde 371 metros lineales. Se están
construyendo las obras correspondientes a la
estructura de descarga y sesigue trabajando en
la reconstrucción de la ciclo ruta con los
rellenos de sub base, la instalación de
bordillosde concreto y adoquín de arcilla.

The project, which calls for the construction of
an interceptor andculverts along the Autopista
Sur, has reached a progress of 72.83
Cazuca culvert has progressed 92.60. 108 meters
of 1.600mmpipeline, 156 mts of 1.800 mm pipeline
and 68 mts of 14 pipelinehave been laid.
Autopista Sur culvert has progressed 62.75, out
of which a total of
1.257 meters of 16, 36 and 1 mt in diameter
pipeline have been laid.
Autopista Sur culvert has progressed 92.62,
having laid 1.170 linearmeters of arch
pipes,386 mts of liner tunnel,443 meters
of30-diameter pipeline and a total of 160 mts
of 18 pipeline.
Paralelo (Av. Terreros) canal progress is
estimated in 83.62. Thearch pipes have been
laid across a total of 371 linear meters.
Workscorresponding to the delivery structure are
underway as well as thereconstruction of cycling
lanes with sub-base backfill, installation
ofconcrete curbs and clay paving.

Avanza a buen ritmo
A muy buen ritmo avanza el proyecto de
Hundimiento de la Avenida Colombia, el cual se
encuentra en el
86.5 de ejecución, frente al 75.76 programado.
El proyecto consiste en deprimir la vía
existente, desde la calle 5 hasta la calle 13, a
una profundidad de 5.50metros respecto a la
rasante actual, conservando los cuatro carriles
para la circulación de vehículos.
El túnel ya está terminado entre las calles 6 y
11 y se trabaja en el espacio público y las redes
secas paraadecuarlo y entregarlo a la
administración municipal en diciembre de 2012, ya
que en dicho espacio seinstalarán las tascas
para la Feria de Cali.
En el tramo entre las calles 11 y 12 se retiraron
los muros en piedra emplazados, lo cual permitió
continuarcon la ejecución de las actividades de
losa de fondo, muros y la posterior izada de 21
vigas prefabricadas.
Entre las calles 12 y 13 se instalaron las 45
vigas finales que soportarán la tapa del túnel.
En el tramo desde la calle 13 hasta el límite del
proyecto se construye la estructura de pavimento
y se estánterminando los muros de la rampa de
salida.

Work goes on at good pace
Avenida Colombia is making good headway, reaching
86.5 of execution, in contrast to the
75.76estimated at first.
The project calls for the depression of the
already-existent road from Calle 5 to Calle 13,
to a depth of 5.50mts below the current grade,
keeping the four lanes for circulation.
Tunnel is ready between Calle 6 and 11 and we are
currently working on public space and dry
networks toupgrade and deliver them to the Town
Hall in December 2012, as the posts for the Fair
of Cali will be placedin this location.
Stonewalls along the leg between Calle 11 and 12
were knocked down, making way for works on
bottomslabs, walls and hoisting of 21 precast
beams.
Between Calle 12 and 13, 45 last beams were set,
which will bear the tunnels top.

El proyecto consiste en la construcción de
unaplazoleta bajo la cual se emplazarán dos
sótanospara 242 parqueaderos, dos edificios de 3

Muy adelantada la Fase II
La construcción de las calzadas de los carriles
mixtos y espacio público de la calle 5, entre las
carreras 56 y100 con calle 20, se encuentra en
el 77.35 de ejecución total, frente al 66.15
programado.
El proyecto, que está dividió en Fase I y II,
incluye también obras de redes de acueducto,
alcantarillado,energía y telecomunicaciones.
La Fase I ya se completó y desde julio de 2012 se
avanza en la Fase II, interviniendo obras viales,
espaciopúblico, redes y cicloruta. Esta fase
tiene un avance de obra del 60, frente a un
programado del 39.
De esta fase se entregó en septiembre de 2012 el
primer tramo de vía comprendido entre las
carreras 73 ycarrera 79, frente al Hospital
Psiquiátrico Universitario del Valle.

Phase II moving far along
The construction of the roads along mixed lanes
and public space on Calle 5, between Carrera 56
and 100crossing Calle 20, has now reached 77.35
of total execution, in contrast to the initial
estimate of 66.15.
The project, which is divided in Phase I and II,
involves work on aqueduct, sewer systems,
electricity andtelecommunications as well.
Phase I is finished and Phase II kicked-off in
July 2012, refurbishing and upgrading road works,
public space,networks and cycle lanes. This
phase has progressed a 60, almost as double as
the first estimate of 39.
From this phase, the first road leg (between
Carrera 73 and Carrera 79 in front to the
Psychiatric UniversityHospital of Valle) was
delivered in September 2012.

Inició la construcción de la presa
Obtenidos todos los permisos ambientales y
mineros que requiere el proyecto, terminadas las
obras depre-construcción, tales como el desvío
del río Tona, 3 kilómetros de vías sustitutivas
de acceso y aprobaciónde los diseños definitivos
de Fase III, el 7 de junio de 2012 inició de
manera formal la etapa contractual
deconstrucción del proyecto, programada para
concluir el 23 de diciembre de 2014, con la
iniciación delllenado del embalse y la
construcción del tapón definitivo del túnel de
desviación.
Entre las actividades más relevantes están
El 15 de septiembre terminó la construcción de la
ataguía de 29 metros de altura, 6 metros de ancho
y 92.000m3 de volumen en enrocado compactado y
núcleo de arcilla. La ataguía tiene como objeto
proteger lasobras de construcción de la presa
contra crecientes del río.
Inició la construcción de la presa de
enrocadocon la excavac
