The Event As a value added benefit for your SMUSA
Bursary contribution we are offering a wine
tasting experience taking place after work on
Thursday, June 28th from 530 to 800 at Frescos
Italian Bistro, one of Ottawas five star Italian
eateries, 354 Elgin Street, 613-235-7541.
Frescos will also be providing snacks to
accompany the wine tasting. Wine connoisseur John
Stewart (SMUSA President 1974/75) will present a
selection of Italian wines reds, whites and
sparkling (Prosseco) to pleasure your pallet and
Paul Lynch (SMUSA Treasurer 1975/76) will suggest
appropriate Italian meals to accompany these
wines, recipes will be available. SMUSA executive
alumni will also be selling raffle tickets (10
for arms length) for a couple of special Italian
vintages that John will describe, the draw for
these and other Saint Marys merchandise will
take place at 730. The Fund The SMUSA
Opportunity Bursary Fund (272,000 and growing)
will provide an annual 15,000 scholarship,
awarded over 4 years, to one of the top
qualifying applicant students who have also been
determined by the Saint Marys Financial Aid
Office to have a high financial need. SMUSA
alumni executives are involved in running events
everywhere and encourage alumnae to contribute to
this excellent scholarship opportunity. This is
the Ottawa Alumni Branches first fund raiser so
please support it as it will enhance the Saint
Marys educational footprint globally and fulfill
the branchs funding responsibility. To

or call 613-825-2858. Send your contribution to
the address below to confirm your registration,
they will be forwarded to SMU following the
events administration. Please make your check
out to Saint Marys University (indicate SMUSA
Fund on you check). A tax receipt will be
issued by the Saint Marys financial office for
full value of the event cost which is 60 per
person 100 per couple and 250 for a
corporate contribution which covers a group of 4
people. Credit card payments can be made by
phoning the SMU financial office directly at
(902) 420-5464. If you cant attend the event
please consider a personal donation to the SMUSA
