HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
  • 2,650 for one year, non-renewable.
  • Used in first year at four- year college in South
    Carolina.
  • Can earn the LIFE Scholarship after completing 30
    hours of credit in one year with a 3.0 GPA.

  • Must meet two of the following criteria
  • 1) 3.0 cumulative grade point average on the SC
  • Uniform Grading Scale on final transcript
  • 2) 1100 SAT (best Critical Reading best Math
    scores)
  • OR 24 ACT
  • 3) Rank in top 30 of graduating class (about a
    3.7
  • overall GPA)
  • In-state 4-year colleges 5,000 per year
  • In-state Technical colleges Tuition 300 for
    books
  • Must enroll in 30 semester hours in
    freshman year
  • With 14 hrs in math/science award goes to
    7,500/yr

  • 1200 SAT (CR M) or 27 ACT.
  • 3.5 GPA at end of 11th or 12th grade.
  • Top 6 of class at end of 10th, 11th or 12th
    grade.
  • Early Qualifier Nov Senior Year.
  • Final Qualifier June Senior Year.
  • Up to 6,700 annually (tax free) for 1st year.
  • 7,500 2nd 4th year will go to 10,000 based
    on courses taken.

  • 4.0 GPA at end of 11th or 12th grade
  • 1400 SAT (CR M) or 32 ACT by June Senior Year.
  • Early Qualifier Nov Senior Year
  • Final Qualifier June Senior Year
  • Up to 6,700 annually (tax free) for 1st year.
  • 7,500 2nd 4th year will go to 10,000 based
    on courses taken.

Lottery Scholarship Points to Remember
  • Based on cumulative GPA at graduation.
  • Based on best SAT or single ACT through June
    Senior Year.
  • Applies only to schools within South Carolina.
  • Colleges automatically assign award based on
    final transcript that SVHS sends after
    graduation.
  • Potential Palmetto Fellows will be given
    application in late November and late May.
  • Must maintain 3.0 and complete 30 credit hours/yr
    to maintain the scholarship.

LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
  • Must be South Carolina resident
  • Must be U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Must be enrolled as degree-seeking students at
    eligible South Carolina public or independent
    institutions
  • Must not owe a refund or repayment on a State
    Grant or Scholarship, Pell Grant, or a
    Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant and
    not be in default on a loan under the Federal
    Perkins Loan or Federal Stafford Loan Program
    and
  • Must have never been convicted of any felonies
    and have not been convicted of any
    alcohol/drug-related misdemeanor offenses within
    the past academic year (excluding Lottery Tuition
    Assistance).
