  • Before I began Ford PAS group projects I thought
that I was a follower, was not an especially good
problem-solver, and did not have leadership
skills. The experience of having to work in a
group to solve real-world problems has taught me
that I can think through the problems, determine
what is needed to solve them, break down the work
so each person can make a contribution, and use
each persons ideas to produce workable
    solutions.

24
  • I always was interested in designing clothing
and thought I was a good artist, but until I
entered the Ford PAS program I had no idea how
those skills might be useful in the auto or other
manufacturing industries. . . . Through the Ford
PAS course I now see that Web site design might
be a good career for me, and that a lot of high
school subjects I thought were dull and
    uninteresting might be useful.
