Transformation Educational Prosperity-STEP,
entered into six year of its community

activities and programs. The main objective of
this report is to keep members and supporters
aware of STEP activities, failures, objectives,
and local activities with the communities. Finally

working directly with the grassroots
community with the methodology of participation,
awareness and education. STEP also planned to
train the focus community to plan their own
programs and also to find the resources for
their social and economic sustainability and
viability. STEP believes in the community
strength promoting decision making power at
grassroots level as it leads to Sustainable
community development. A STEP is sending its

Prologue of STEPSocial
Transformation and Educational Prosperity-STEP is
a non-profit, volunteer and non Governmental
organization. STEP was inaugurated in 2000. It
is working to develop the people through
awareness. STEP started the mobilization of
community of Local Towns is locality of
Faisalabad People of the area especially women
are deprived part of the society. They realized
that their unity would change their marginalized
life. So with the passage of time they themselves
realized their problems which are hurdle in the
way of their development. With few community
meetings they became able to decide that a group
is the present need of the areas which can assist
to solve their problems. So resultantly they
develop an organization named (Social
Transformation and Educational Prosperity-STEP)
VISION We envision empowering of ignored and
Deprived communities. MISSION STATEMENT STEPS
mission is to honored (ignored and deprived
communities) by involving them in their
developmental programs LEGAL STATUSSTEP is
Registered (RJSC/FSD/2005/88212) under the
Societies Registration ACT XXI of 1860 by the
Government of Punjab Pakistan.OBJECTIVES 1.To
aware the people about the importance of
Education.2.To aware the people the root causes
of their poverty 3.To aware the communities to
improve their primary Health.4.To assist the
people for self-developmental women Empowerment
Programs.5.To help the people for peace and
harmony, 6.To rehabilitate special people for
making them a healthy part of society

• Meetings with school dropout (working Street)
  children and encouragement for their rejoining to
  their education
• Casual free education coaching center (To fortify
  education level in Slum areas)

• Celebration special events with the Disable
  persons and support them for Skill formal
  Education.

Formal Activities Low Cost Subsidize Education
Program STEP, developed an educational program
with the community of Gaffer Town (Remote Slum
Area of Faisalabad City). The program is
developed by people of the area. The people, of
the area discussed their problems that they can
not send their children far away and in such
schools, which are costly for them. So on acute
need of community a School (Mashal-e-Rah model
School) is started in the area. This School is
situated at Gaffer Town with complete roof but
with incomplete building. The School Teachers are
Enthusiastic and motivated to fortify the
Educational Level in this area with short
Resources. Now we have 70 children.
Adult Education Program With inauguration of
(Mashal-e-Rah Model School), STEP got
encouragement. This program also caught the
attention of other community members. The program
raised

aspiration in maid women girls to get
education. So they organized meeting and
resultantly an adult education program is
developed with women and girls of Gaffri Town. We
started this program in the evening and use our
school building for this purpose. Now we have 13
girls and women in adult education program. Free
education coaching program. Many children are
working in different sectors. So they are
deprived from education. The children themselves
showed their interest that they also need
education. But their availability is not possible
in the morning time. So they decided there should
such an educational program which can help them
to fulfill their need in the evening. For the
purpose we made survey under the program. And
made possible school drop out (Working and street
children, to come for their consultancy for
education. Now we have 32 children in our
program.
SME (Small and Medium Enterprisers) The
community developed a program with discussion
that there should be some income generating
programs and Health Centers especially for women
and Children. So we planed with community we
must prefer to our small business (Preparation of
Children Garments, Embroidery,Candies,sweets,biscu
its,surf,soap making, tooth paste, shampoo
making, toys Making, candle making,baskets,bag
making etc).rather maid job.

• Basically we had not prepared programs to
  implement upon community but the programs will be
  implemented which will be identify and developed
  by community with mutual discussion and
  understanding.

  employment)
• Poverty elevation program for better nourishment
  of society.
• Programs to reduce the gender discrimination
• Health activities and special attention towards
  disabled.
• Reading rooms, Recreation, Sports cultural

• STEP planned to root out T.B through awareness
  and treatment
• STEP Planned to work in Earth quack areas as most
  of the organization left the areas (The Physical
  condition of people is pitiable they need much
  care now)
• STEP is Working on Prevention of Child Abuses and
  planned to continue it in future (WWSF given
  Partnership to STEP)
• STEP is enhancing women status morally and
  physically organizing women seminars for their
  rights
• To stop terrorism STEP Organizing Peace and
  harmony meetings

• We got confidence in People through developing
  small community based programs.
• Small program like school to uplift educational
  standard which is the key of development of any
  society
• Got new field with the need of time emergency
  relief work (earthquake, Flood etc)
• The community it self developed the organization,
  STEP and they are showing their entirely favor
  for it, which is the real sign of development

• Evaluation should be through external internal
  evaluator time to time.
• For overall evaluation of the programs we will
  invite our net work organizations
• We make it possible for other organizations to
