  • Her mother helped with the small business that
    they owned.
  • She also had a younger brother with them and life
was great for the both of them at that time until
    the Nazis took it away.

4
Thrown out
  • One day the Nazis came to their house and forced
them to live in a ghetto.
  • Soon after they were sent to a labor camp.

5
The Labor camp
  • Sally and her family were forced to work as
    slaves.
  • They worked the whole day with very little food
    and water.

6
Sally Loses her Parents

  • Nazis came over to tell her parents to dig a
grave..their own. Then they got shot one by one.
  • They were dumped into the grave.

  • Sally goes looking for him and doesnt find him
    until the next day.
  • She finally finds him, he is in complete shock.

8
The Camp is Liberated

went to go live with a family for a short amount
    of time.

Living with Another Family
  • After the liberation Sally and her brother went

    her brother.

A Frightening moment
  • One day Sally was cleaning the house when she saw
three horses, and on them were Ukrainian Police.
  • She quickly got her brother and they both hid
under a bed. They pushed as far as they could go
    in the corner.

11
Close Call
  • The police burst through the door looking for
    them.
  • They finally got to the bed they were hiding
under and they started swishing the bayonets of
    their guns under the bed.
  • One of the blades poked her skin but not enough
to make her bleed, leaving no trace that they
    were under the bed.

12
After the Incident
  • After the incident the family told Sally and her
brother to leave so they would not endanger their
    family ever again.
