Managing production can be the most difficult
task in any high-volume, print-on-demand
enterprise. In the end, desired production levels
may not be achieved. Todays just-in-time
printing environment faces many challenges
  • Submission from many different sources including
    hardcopy and electronic documents in multiple
    file formats
  • Documents must often be re-purposed for
    presentation or output to other media
  • Output to dissimilar devices across diverse
    manufacturer platforms and standards

Overview
The UltraPrint Client includes an explorer like
job manager.

Each print job is represented by a folder icon
called a Book

and each file within the print job is represented
as a page icon called a Page.

Print jobs may be made up of dissimilar files
including PostScript, PDF, PCL, and all image
formats

and may be assembled using multiple files from
many different sources and authors.

Selecting a Book displays information about the
print job including size, pages, and number of
parts.

Selecting a Page displays information about that
component including size, pages, and page range
in the document.

Adding a file to a print job is simple. Simply
select the desired print job and then click the
New Page icon

From the Add Page dialog box, select the file to
be added

click Open to add the file

The new file appears in the list under the
selected Book.

Each Book simply points to source files
allowing any component to be repurposed for use
in multiple print jobs.

Select a Printer, define job parameters, and then
click the print icon to begin output.

Switch to the Job Monitor tab to view output
status.
