  • Mississippi, Montana, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas
    and Wisconsin.
  • States will compete for up to five Opportunity
    Grants for 2010 to implement
  • their plans over four years.

College Goal Sunday
  • National program that helps students and
    families complete the Free
  • Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Through coordinated statewide effort,
    financial aid experts volunteer to assist
  • students and families in completing the FAFSA
    at a College Goal Sunday event.
  • Launched in 2004, the program has grown to
    serve over 2,000 students in 37 states.

  • KnowHow2GO is a public-awareness campaign
    designed to encourage
  • students in grades eight to 10 and their
    families to take the necessary
  • steps toward college1) Be a pain, 2) Push
    yourself, 3) Find the right fit
  • and 4) Put your hands on some cash.
  • Launched in 2006, the campaign is now active
    in more than 13 states and
  • regions with 30 national partners, including
    the two co-sponsors
  • the American Council on Education and the Ad
    Council.
