What is a flyer?

• An informational document used to convey
  information about events such as Author
  visitations, Ethnic orientation, Training
  classes, etc.
• The production of these flyers is normally
  handled by Library Technicians

Information needed to proceed

• What is the flier needed for?
• What information is needing to be included?
• Will there be photos needed?
• What group of patrons is it intended for?

Required Software Equipment

• Digital camera
• USB cable for transferring photos to computer
• Printer to accommodate the size needed
• Corel Draw

Starting the process

• Set up text in Corel
• Take photos needed and download to system.
• Place photos where they are needed within text.

Print out a draft copy for corrections

• For documents larger than 8 1/2 x 11, a special
  printer such
• as this would be used.

Corrections
Any corrections identified on draft copy will be
made in the Corel Draw application

Approval of content
Once all corrections and adjustments have been
made, a final draft hardcopy is printed for
approval by management.

Final printing
After approval, the printing process begins and
flyer is distributed
