2HWPS Supervision and Workload
- Supervision Your supervisor is determined by
your position. Please ask if you dont know. - Workload and Work Schedule
- Program Directors Teaching and administrative
hours are determined collaboratively with the
dean. A standard release is assigned to program
directors for administrative duties. - FT and PT Faculty Teaching assignment will be
determined collaboratively with the program
director. PT assignments are on a term by term
basis. PT faculty sign a Letter of Appointment
(LOA) for each teaching assignment. - Staff Work schedule and assignment is
determined by the administrative coordinator.
3HWPS
- Faculty Office Hours
- Most faculty are required to conduct posted
office hours on campus. If you have an on-campus
office, office hours must be posted on your
office door. A leave slip must be submitted if
office hours are not kept. Consult with your
supervisor for specific instructions.

- Absences/Leave Notify the HWPS Office Support
Center (JS 310) AND your supervisor. Leave slips
must be submitted when appropriate. - CNM ID A CNM photo ID is required to enter
clinical sites, internship facilities anytime and
CNM facilities during non-business hours. IDs
are available through the Student Activities
office located near the southwest corner of the
Student Services Center (near the Bookstore).

8Communication Resources
- CNM E-mail is REQUIRED. After you have attended
the Human Resources new employee orientation,
your CNM email account will be set up in Passport
and activated within 5 business days. Email must
be checked regularly, at least once each workday,
and messages answered promptly. If you prefer
using Outlook or your personal email account,
contact the HELP Desk, 224-HELP for assistance. - HWPS Listserv REQUIRED. You will be added to
the listserv after your email account is active.
You must check your email for messages sent to
the HWPS division listserv.

- Voice Mail (Audix or V-Mail) is REQUIREDVoice
messaging can be accessed from anywhere, on or
off campus. You must check for messages regularly
at least once each workday. When away from the
office for an extended time, a message should be
left to contact the HWPS Office Support Center,

- Mail
- For employees with an on-campus teaching
assignment, mail will be delivered to the
appropriate building/campus via campus mail. For
off-campus assignments, mail will be sent via
USPS to your home. Keep your mailing address
current with the HWPS office.

- Comply with all CNM and HWPS policies and
procedures - Communicate w/ HWPS office when required
- Attend meetings and serve on committees FT
employees are required and PT are encouraged - Comply with FERPA and HIPAA
14Duties and Responsibilities
- Record-Keeping and Documentation of Student
Activity - Grades Official Gradebooks must be submitted at
the end of the course to the HWPS Office. Grades
must be submitted in Banner by due date each
term. - Student Attendance Attendance must be
documented and submitted with official Gradebooks - Student Issues Must be documented in writing.
Consult with supervisor on applicable CNM or HWPS
policies - Banner (faculty responsibilities) Confirm
registration, drop non-attendees, enter grades
15Faculty Annual Review(Summer, Fall, Spring)
- Faculty Review System
- 28 month trial period (seven terms)
- All faculty at CNM participate in the same review
system. - FT Submit either a full professional review or a
teaching review each year full review required
the first three years - PT Submit a teaching review annually (includes
student evaluations and annual goals). - Student evaluation are conducted each term for
all faculty. They are included in the
professional and teaching reviews.
16Staff Annual Performance Appraisal
- FT and PT staff (including program directors)
- Six month trial period
- Supervisor will conduct an annual review
- Dean reviews.
- Vice President Reviews
- Original resides in Official Personnel file in HR

- All HWPS employees are considered learners and
are provided with opportunities through the
college to develop their professional skills and
qualities. CNM Organizational Learning provides
professional development workshops and training
opportunities for faculty and staff and are
