  • Who sets the terms for debate?
  • Global Warming is also about poverty and war.
  • The problem is us!
  • If you want people to act we need to discuss
    all issues as being related to each other.
  • Preparing for the future as opposed to always
    reacting - is part of the environmental
    problem.
  • We need to identify those obstacles that keep us
    from moving forward.
  • There is this inability for environmentalist to
    form effective alliances/coalitions.
  • Develop dreams not nightmares!
  • We need to work together to develop core values.
  • After reading The Death of Environmentalism,
    review the outline left column and write a
    response to Shellenberger and Nordhaus -
    indicating whether you agree or disagree, and to
    what extent, with their conclusions.
  • Also consider the following questions.
  • Is this article a possible blueprint for change?
  • Why have they chosen to overlook the progress of
    the past 30 years?
  • Can science no longer be used as a means for
    changing our core values?
