Title: Your EFile Portfolio

1
Your E-File Portfolio
2
What is an E-Portfolio?
  • Its an online system that allows you to gather
    information together about yourself
  • Its meant to be realtime. You change and add
to it as you go along
  • It enables you to reflect on what you have
achieved so far and the expectations that being
    part of St Josephs brings.
  • It requires you to identify the ways in which you
have developed by achieving these things and
    meeting these expectations.
  • It can be used to provide evidence for your ASDAN
    portfolio
  • Most usefully, it helps you to put together your
UCAS Personal Statement at the end of this year
and be first in line to get a place on the course
    of your choice.

3
How to I get to my E-File?
  • Log onto the network in the usual way
  • Load internet explorer
  • Go to the Score site at
  • www.sgfl.org.uk
  • Log onto Score using your email address and
password (if you dont know this you must ask in
    the ICT Office ICT2. )
  • Click on My Stuff
  • Click on my E-File

4
You should see
  • Click on
  • My ILP

5
And then..
  • Start with page 2. (Page 1 is not working at the
    moment.)

6
Page 2 asks you to think back to Year 10 and 11
and write about your main achievements at GCSE
7
Page 3 asks you to write about the AS levels you
have chosen and what these require of you in
terms of hours and study. It also gives you a
chance to go on Fast Tomato Careers site.
8
Page 4 is the most important page. Click on Add
New Goal and it brings up the following boxes.
9
Add each of the following goals. After each one
click save, then click add new goal to add
the next one. You add 8 in total.
  • to contribute to their Catholic College Community
  • to serve others
  • to lead others responsibly
  • to focus on their academic development
  • to develop independence
  • to take calculated risks
  • to build positive relationships
  • to relax healthily and achieve work / life
    balance

10
Once all the goals are typed in you, page 4
should look like this.
11
After this..........
  • All expectations are added you can click
view/edit and go back and type up your thoughts
    and reflections on each expectation.
  • Be sure to make the connections with your
Enrichment Activity. There is a sheet which can
help with this (which is available from your form
    tutor or Mr Willis.)
  • Be sure to click update to save any changes you
    make.

12
Everything you do goes into a file where it is
compiled as one document which can be edited on
screen or in word. On page 6 you choose what to
carry through into a personal statement which
could be used for job or UCAS applications.
