• Our road to glory

1st reading

• God gave Abrahams a severe test of faith by
  asking him to sacrifice his son. Abraham obeyed.
• This full commitment and obedience of Abraham to
  God earned him our model for all generations.

2nd Reading

• St. Paul simply reminds us If God is always
  beside us, then there is no way that we cannot
  endure the sufferings and trials we have to face.

Gospel

• Jesus was transfigured with Moses and Elijah in
  front of Peter, James and John. This happened
  before their entry to Jerusalem Passion!
• Jesus did this to show them the glory to come
  after enduring His passion.

There are many reasons why we suffer

• Good rewarded and Evil punished or Act and
  Consequence
• Good rewarded evil punished in the future.
• Experience of the presence of God
• Medicinal Suffering
• A Test from God
• Purificatory suffering / Educative suffering.

But most of allthere is

• Vicarious suffering.
• Redemptive suffering.
• This is our way to glory!

• Jesus, Abraham, St. Paul and many others learned
  obedience in the school of suffering

Let us be reminded

• That this Lenten Season, the only way to Heaven,
  the only way to Everlasting Life, the only way to
  a Glorious Resurrectionis through the Cross,
  through the daily enduring of our daily trials
  and sufferings.
