Title: Internal Functions of Court Document Efiling

1
Internal Functions of Court Document E-filing
  • What follows is a short walk-through of clerk
review, a court business analysts view, and the
    user management system

2
Based on user name, clerks are able to view the
appropriate pending filings for the county, court
level, and case type assigned to them. By
selecting View Filing the clerk has access to
the detail of the filing.
3
Clerks evaluate the information, view the PDF by
clicking on View Document and can choose to
accept or reject the filing.
4
Court business analysts are able to select which
court they wish to view the pending filings for.
5
The business analyst can view the details of a
pending filing, by selecting View Filing, just
as a clerk would.
6
However, a business analysts access is
restricted to View only, and there are no action
buttons to allow them to accept or reject a
filing.
7
Business analysts also assign clerks to the
appropriate county, court, and case type through
a user management interface.
8
Each court jurisdiction can have multiple clerks,
each clerk can be assigned to one or more case
types (i.e. civil, criminal). One or more email
addresses can be entered to receive notifications
of pending filings on one or more case types as
well.
9
In order to notify clerks of enhancements to the
system, technical issues, etc. a feature to send
a group email is incorporated into the user
management piece.
10
This concludes the internal functions of court
document e-filing presentation
