Free tips anyone can do
  • -Write every assignment down (just by doing
that, you are more likely to remember it!)
  • -Have a notebook for every class (and only put
    papers in the right notebook!)
  • Do every math homework assignment (practice,
    practice, practice)
  • Balance work and fun in your life
  • Get all the school work done before you let
    yourself do anything else

26
Want to remember something?
  • Get it in your brain in many different ways
  • Read it, write it down, say it to yourself, quiz
yourself, draw pictures, make up rhymes
  • Study the same way you will be tested
  • If it is a written test, dont just study orally,
    write it out
  • If youll be sitting in a desk, then sit up while
    studying
  • If you start to lose focus when studying, take a
3 minute break, then go back to studying

27
How to Remember
  • Study your weakest subject FIRST
  • Then one more time before you go to sleep
  • Turn off the TV and I-Pod while you read.
  • You can not comprehend 2 conversations at once
  • You can cut your study time in half!!
  • Dont give up! Call a friend, see your teacher,
read re-read, try try again until it fits!

28
9th Grade RocksAttendance
What happens if I have 10 or more absences in a
semester class?
You may not receive credit for that class
Unless you fill out an attendance appeal! So
dont stop going to class or doing the work!
See pg. 20 in your planner
