Another Time in History
  • The Holocaust was not the only time that Heroic
actions were needed. Heroes have existed through
world history. During the time of slavery which
began much earlier abolitionist heroes rose up to
help the slaves escape to Canada through
    different routes called The Underground
    Railroad.

16
The Underground Railroad
  • The Underground Railroad was a miracle for tens
    of thousands of slaves.
  • Harriet Tubman is one of the many heroes that
    helped slaves reach freedom.
  • Unsung heroes were the helpers that arent known

    Underground Railroad.
  • The Underground Railroad was a system of people
who offered shelter and food to those slaves who
    wished to escape North.

Are Heroes the cause of our world as it is?
  • Many say heroes have changed the course of
history. If it wasnt true conflict between Jews
and Nazis, Koreans, Iranians, and the US and
    Britain.
  • Heroes can be anything and anyone, but that
    anything must be phenomenal.
  • Although heroes can be a nightmare to some and a
savior to others, they still change the world
    around us.

21
Are Heroes needed in the world today?
  • Many believe heroes are needed for the cause of
    hate crimes.
  • Hate crimes are the effect of people believing
that they are the superior being.
  • Heroes save lives and help people in times of
    crisis.
  • If heroes did not exist many would suffer from
    inferiority and grief.

22
Are Heroes needed in the world today?(continued)
  • We still need heroes to day, because our world is
    far from perfect.
  • Theres still discrimination against religion and
    race.
  • Will there ever be a world without bad or morally
    stupid people? I doubt it.

23
Tying It Up
  • The Holocaust and the Slavery Incidents just
shows you how evil some humans can be.
  • We have seen our mistakes from the past, but will
it prevent this in the future?
  • Its a problem now that we and other countries
are experiencing the horror of hate crimes.
