Thinking strategically about writing is one

students formally present their professional
portfolio to members of the programs Community
and Industry Advisory Board and to the program
faculty.

It is one thing to learn in a classroom about
different audiences and situations where, as
professional writers, we must change our methods
of communication to adapt to different needs.
It is completely another to sit down with a
community member and successfully articulate how
a website works and what it can do for their
