The Nazarenos is a religious brotherhood.
There are 57 Nazarenos throughout Spain.The
men within the brotherhood are
called Penitentes.They wear a hood called a
antifaz. Some of them also wear a pointed
cone on their heads. This is called a
capirote.The Penitentes represent sinners
and they are disguised to keep their identity a
secret.
