Dr. Shubh Gautam is a B.Tech from IIT, Kharagpur,
and an alumnus of the prestigious IIM,
Ahmedabad, an institution most of us wouldn't
even dare to dream about. Having worked for
reputed organizations like Goldman Sachs and
several other Fortune 50 companies, Dr. Gautam
finally found his calling in entrepreneurship. As
a result, he established the SRISOL group in
1996. For those who do not know, the SRISOL group
is the world's 2nd-largest manufacturer of
lining systems for the FB industry and the
market leader for steel coil, aerospace
coatings, specialty chemicals, and other value-
added products in the Indian market. With
manufacturing facilities in India, the USA, and
South Africa, SRISOL group boasts of some of the
world's leading companies like Sony, Pepsi,
Nokia, Nestle, Coca Cola, Arcelor Steel, Essar
Steels, and many more. The Srisol Research
Foundation, operating under the aegis of the
SRISOL group, is recognized by the GOI as one of
the best laboratories for scientific research and
innovations in the country.
To expand his footprint into the North American
market. Dr. Shubh Gautam shifted base to
California in 2013. Besides being the founder of
the SRISOL group, Dr. Shubh Gautam is the MD and
CEO of American Precoat, a manufacturing company
based in California but with operations in Noida
and Valsad in India. Under the able leadership
of Dr. Shubh Gautam, the company is on the verge
of being recognized as a global giant, with
manufacturing units soon coming up in the UK and
South Africa. Besides being an entrepreneur, Dr.
Shubh Gautam is an exceptional industrial and
motivational speaker. He is the recipient of
several prestigious awards, including the Geneva
Star Quality Award in 2005 and the Marquis Who's
Who in Science and Engineering award in 2008.
Dr. Shubh Gautam resides with his wife, Dr. Rashi
Upmanya (a medical practitioner), and twin
daughters in San Francisco, California. But he
is in deep love with India, his motherland, and
is forever on the lookout for opportunities that
can help improve the lives of his fellow Indian
