In the late 1800s the district grew faster than
it could build. For that reason, many rooms were
rented for a year or so. You will see the
location (site) of these schools.At this time,
all schools had two to eight grades with an
average of 50 - 60 pupils per room.
The idea of one
room housing one grade was unheard of. All rooms
contained multiple grades.
