Montreal was founded in 1642 as the City of Mary,
Ville Marie and has been named after Mount
Royal-the triple-peaked hill in Montreal.

Saint Josephs Oratory at Mount Royal Saint
Josephs Oratory at Mount Royal is a Roman
Catholic Church situated at 3800 Queen Mary Road,
Mount Royals Westmount Summit, Montreal. It has
been listed in the National Historic Site of
Canada and is one of the largest churches with
the largest dome structures in the world. This
Church was founded in 1904 by Saint Andre
Bessette and brings to life the world and the
contribution of thousands of workers. The Oratory
is one of the highest buildings in Montreal and
can be seen from different corners of the city.

Basilique Cathedrale Marie Reine du Monde Mary,
Queen of the World Cathedral is a minor basilica
in Montreal-the third-largest church in Quebec
after Saint Joseph. The Basilica stands 333ft
tall and is located at 1085 Cathedral Street in
Rene Levesque Boulevard, Downtown Montreal. The
marble baptismal font of the church is surmounted
by a stucco crucifix sculpted by Philippe Hebert.

Church Cathedral Christ Church Cathedral was
built in 1859 in St Catherine Street. This
Anglican Gothic Revival Cathedral is the seat of
the Anglican Diocese of Montreal nestled between
Avenue Union and Boulevard Robert Bourassa. In
1999 it has been designated as the National
Historic Site of Canada and a historical monument
of Quebec in 1988. The Neo-Gothic structure was
designed by Frank Willis and completed in 1859
