My Management Style as a HoD (EF) Care,
Communicate and Facilitate
My performance evaluation for 1995-1996 and
1996-1997
22
My Management Style as a HoD (EF) Care,
Communicate and Facilitate
  • Comments from staff (1995-1996)
  • Workload is not balanced. Staff with more
    workload are not rewarded.
  • Business Economics seems to need more inputs from
Stephen. Not holding a PhD in Economics is not a
excuse, nor a debit. I think the most important
    is an efficient administrator.
  • I think its a good idea to arrange teaching
module on an annual base. It would be easier to
provide both module tables for Semester A and B
    and let staff select directly.
  • For our existing courses and modules, there are a
number of problems remaining unsolved still.
Significant overlapping to the point of boredom
is hampering both teaching and learning efforts.
Its a moral imperative that we must correct this
before it runs out of control.
  • Very nice, sociable, open-minded, efficient,
    tactful, practical, target-oriented, amenable.

23
My Management Style as a HoD (EF) Care,
Communicate and Facilitate
  • Comments from staff (1996-1997)
  • Given the constraints that he faces, Stephen is
doing a great job and has tried hard to make
    everyone happy.
  • The EF Dept. needs more Finance faculty staff.
  • Excellent leadership, superb co-ordination with
external bodies, and excellent research support!
  • Thanks for caring about your staff!
  • Well done and keep going!

24
My Management Style as a HoD (EF) Care,
Communicate and Facilitate
  • For students/ prospective students

    went to three of them
