Rublev Colours Artists Oil Color Chart
A complete color swatch chart of 67 oil colors in
the line of Rublev Colours Artists Oils. Each
swatch is made by hand with the color straight
from the tube and mixed with a standard white.
Each swatch is hand painted on 8 ounce cotton
canvas primed with an acrylic dispersion ground.

Ultramarine Blue (Red Shade) 50ml
Ultramarine Blue (Red Shade) This ultramarine
blue is ground in linseed oil without additives
to change the effect of the pigment and oil
mixture. As a result, the paint is long producing
slightly stringy brushmarks due to the
hydrophilic nature of ultramarine. Although
ultramarine oil paint is not unique, this is a
novel variation of this popular color.

Nicosia Green Earth 50ml
Natural green earths, such as Nicosia green, are
transparent and are absolutely permanent in oil.
Most oil colors labeled "green earth" from
artists' paint manufacturers do not actually
contain the natural mineral, but rather a mixture
of synthetic chromium oxide green and sometimes
barium sulfate with either a natural yellow ocher
or yellow iron oxide. Rublev Colours Nicosia
Green Earth contains only the actual mineral from
Cyprus and linseed oil.

Transparent Tavush Green 150ml
Transparent Tavush Green is a low tinting
strength and very transparent warm green earth
from natural glauconite deposits in the Tavush
province of Armenia. This green earth is ground
in alkali-refined linseed oil without additives
to change the effect of the pigment and oil
mixture. As a result, the paint is short and fine
grained due to the nature of the pigment.
