Gurgaon are liable to pay property tax to
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon each year. The
Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon follows easy
system for the calculation of property tax that
majorly takes into account the use and size of
the property. How to calculate the property tax
for housing property in Gurgaon The tax that is
payable on Gurgaon properties is based on 2 prime
factors- area and the use (residential,
commercial and non-commercial). The Municipal
Corporation of Gurgaon has provided some
guidelines to calculate the property tax for
residential properties and the vacant land.
These include-

Up to 300 sq yards
Rs 1 per sq yard
301 to 500 sq yards
Rs 4 per sq yard
501 to 1,000 sq yards Rs 6 per sq yard 1,001 sq
yards to 2 acres Rs 7 per sq yard More than 2
acres Rs 10 per sq yard

Property tax on vacant land (residential) Plot
size Rate (in Rs per sq yard) Up to 100 sq
yards Exempted 101-500 sq yards Rs 0.50 per sq
yard 501 sq yards and above Re 1 per sq yard
Rebates for the payment of property tax 100
rebate provided to owners of the self-occupied
residential homes, who are serving the defense/
parliamentary force personnel and ex-service/
ex-paramilitary force personnel or her/his
spouse. Also, rebate applicable to the families
of deceased soldiers/ex-central paramilitary
forces personnel/ex-servicemen, provided they
dont have any other housing property in Haryana
and are living in property themselves and havent
let out any portion of the house. 100 rebate to
owners of vacant plots of an acre and above, that
are used for agriculture/horticulture. 100
rebate is provided to owners of the self-occupied
residential homes who are freedom fighters or
her/his spouse as well as the war windows. 10
rebate provided to owners of property who pay
total tax amount before 31st July. One-time
rebate of 30 provided to the owner of the
property who clear the property tax dues within
45 days of notification of the rates. Paying
property tax The best way to make the property
tax payment is doing it online, on the Municipal
Corporation Gurgaon website. When you enter the

be shown the amount that you require to pay. You
can even make the payment through internet
banking or with your credit or debit card. Also,
Municipal Corporation Gurgaon provides a
self-assessment property tax form, in which you
can easily follow the guidelines that are
mentioned for each property type and ascertain
the amount that requires paying. You can pay the
property tax manually at any of Municipal
Corporation Gurgaons Citizen Facilitation
Centers.
