ISD Implementation Component
  • September to May at 11 high schools and one
    middle school.
  • Individual modules inserted into regular
    curriculum
  • Incremental growth in Ford PAS adoption

San Antonio Independent School District
  • Two Instructor Applications were submitted for
    the Summer Program (Deena Francis was hired).
  • 12 student applications were submitted.
  • 20 teachers will be attending the National
    Conference.
  • Seven of the eight high schools and an
    alternative campus will use economics, business
    and technology components from Ford PAS.
  • Tim Shaunty, President of Texas Council for
    Economic Education has expressed interest in the
    Economics modules.

Harlandale Independent School District
  • McCollum High Schools, Leadership and Public
    Service Magnate School within-a-school will be
    using Ford PAS Modules in their Economics and
    Government classes.
  • For 11th grade Economics, modules 13, 14 and 15
    will be used and taught by Loraine Martinez. For
    12th grade Government, modules 1, 2, and 3 will
    be used and taught by Dion Rude. Approximately
    75-100 students will be able to attend these
    classes in the school year 2005/2006.

Replication Component
  • Beginning the summer of 2006, Ford PAS support
    model replicated at UT El Paso and New Jersey
    City University.
  • Each site will host a summer academy component.
  • Each site will engage two school districts in
    implementing Ford PAS modules.

  • In 2006
  • Invite two more school districts to participate
    in Ford PAS
  • Expand the Summer Academy Component to two
    classes
