  • American and Canadian citizens who have completed
    a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, Spanish
    or Humanities.

Visiting Teachers - Selection Process
  • Spain runs a yearly national call to recruit
    candidates.
  • Spanish administrators make a first screening of
    applicants.
  • Representatives of the U.S school districts
    travel to Madrid and run interviews among the
    candidates.
  • Expenses are paid by the Spanish Ministry of
    Education.

Visiting Teachers - Hiring Process
  • The selected Spanish teachers sign contracts
    with their school districts.
  • Orientations are held in Madrid and in the US.
  • At the present time there are over 1,200
    visiting teachers from Spain in 31 states of the
    U.S. Alberta, Canada (07/08).
  • Perspectives New States/Provinces. Increase no.
    of applications.
  • New recruiting period April 2008
